I've seen one of those MkI's a few times and it's kinda cool, was very surprised to when I walked past it the first time and saw Lancer written on the side. Do you have more pics of that one?

edit: that 1600 GSR looks EXACTLY like the one I've been seeing, down to the color and all, except that the steering wheel is on the wrong side... :D Perhaps I should take my camera with me and take a walk down those neighbourhoods again some day...

Done by a customising company here in Australia, 10 grand premium over normal lancer.

hardly worth the effort.

Love to see some pics of the 1970s Mitsubishi Lancer Celeste. It was a Coupe. Sportier profile than the regular Lancer.

No, the Galant is bigger. Lancers are called Mirage in some countries.

Picture 2 shows the Dodge Lancer Celeste, a badge engineered version for the US market of the original Mitsubishi version. Mitsubishi formed an alliance with Chrysler Corporation as a way of entering the US market before trying with Mitsubishi-badged cars in the early 80's (the Cordia, Tredia and Starion).
