What engine ($25,000 or less) would you put in it? A viper v10, a 426/472/528/540/572 hemi, a beefed up 80's jag v12, a 4.6 or 5.4 DOHC Ford motor, or whatever you want. (American engine, yes jags aren't american but their owned by Ford and you can get them cheap so they count)

Custom platform, just use your imagination. It could already exist or you could completely make it up.

if you could id hook up one of these two: 300hp VQ/400hp RB26DETT. if not id massage a honda vtech to like 310 or so

Id probably go with the Jags V12 but id put either a super or turbo charger on it...

347 stroker i rode in a stang that had one the car was pushing 750 horse with out a power adder. Great sound too.

GM 572, just because I can't possibly imagine it actually happen. can be pushed well over 1000 HP with forced induction, would look just awesome as well.

the buicks 454 Stage 1, from their 1970 GS Stage 1. was one hell of an engine. Rated at 360bhp @4600rpm and 510 lb-ft of torque @2800rpm, but heard it actually had 400+ bhp.
also, wonder what forced induction might do for something that's already pulling that strong.
