I'm afraid I don't really see much of a comparison between the two. They're vaguely similar looks-wise and both have mid-mounted similar sized engines with twin-turbo boost, but other than that I think they're quite different. The F40 is a totally uncompromising lightweight racecar-for-the-road, whereas the Venturi is, as the name suggests, more of a GT car. They are also from different eras, the F40 actually being released in 1987, not 91. The F40 is also in a totally different league in terms of performance and all round desirability.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Venturi a lot, but whereas the Venturi is a good car the F40 is a truly great car! :)

the venturi is a nice car but the F40 would lay the smack down on it.

From a three liter V6? That thing must be boosted out the ass to make 400hp.

Nope :)

It's the same block as the Alpine A610.
The original Atlantique used similar heads - and it's 4 valves per cylinder ( where did the data saying 2 come from ? ).
The later 400s used modified heads and twin turbo to beat lag.
But the boost isn't excessive.
The engine is seemingly strong enough for 600+ and the Renault gearbox can take it !!

AS part of my engine rebuild I'm trying to track down an Itlaian tuner who is reportedly offering a Turbo upgrade and ECU mapping to take the A610 up to 500 :) If you're Itlalian and know who it is please get in contact immediately - I'm trying to do all this through a French intermediary :(

WHAT the venturi is the festest car out of france and is way cooler than a retired ferrari

yeah the ferrrai f40 might be alittle fast but not by much

And the venturi race car was faster than the F40 that venturi was called 600SLM #44 and it beat a mclaren f1 gt1 down the straight to

Venturi are back with a GT3 car which didnt do to bad got 7th/9th places in the fia gt3 championships
gone is the renault/peugeot it uses a audi v8 i wondering if they will get more out of it than spyker

Another car which is sweet and holds the fastest 0/100km with a alfa romeo v6 engine is the Gillet Vertigo

Probably. Remember the thread about all the 0-60 times for different models? Ferrer should do his own spin-off based on reliability.

Yes red is more unreliable, since it is the classic italian color on a french car.

No worries Ferrer, threads that are going completely off topic is my specialty, just think how many times I hijacked threads to talk about Québec or other, yet interesting for some, irrelevant topics to the subject. Point is, do whatever you want with that thread, dear Mr. Know-It-All (that's intended to be a compliment, not an insult).

I dont think it can beat with F40, stats are here, F series are Ferrari's most special cars, if we compare the producing values, F series are producing numbers are very very small than the others.

Well actually no. 1315 F40's were made, which is quite a lot considering the type of car it is.

Cyco

Especially when you look at the number of 288's built, and that wasn't an F-car. Although the massive number of F40s did get Ferrari sued for breach of contract
