It really depends on what kind of car you want. The FXX is a great deal "softer" than the Porsche, the Porsche is a hardcore racing machine whilst the FXX is a super-duper-track car.

You can't compare these two. They race in different classes (if the FXX even races, yet).

I don't even think the FFX was designed for racing at all. It's basically just a private trackday-goers wet dream car, an Uber-toy for the Uber-rich. I don't think it has been designed with any specific regulations or restrictions in mind.

The Porsche on the other hand has been custom desgined to the strict rules and regs of LMP2 racing. The only other cars it's worth comparing it to are other prototype racecars, and by the looks of its debut ALMS race (Laguna Seca) so far it's pretty freakin good! After the first two hours it's placed second overall, just 3secs adrift of the leading Dyson Lola and over a lap ahead of its nearest P2 class rival.

How the hell are you comparing a LMP2 class racecar against a no-limit track day car?

I bet the Porsche LMP2 will get in the top 10 overall at Le Mans next year

The ALMS season finished last night at Laguna Seca. It was the first race for the Porsche and it won its class by an absolute country mile. I fear it might be pointless anyone else bothering to turn up in the LMP2 class next year, they're gonna be unstoppable. :p

The nearest competition to the Porsche LMP2 is the Lola B05/40 AER, which will have a V8 instead of an 4 cylinder next year

LMP2 at Le Mans was won this year by a V8 engined Lola. The competition in North America is clearly not up to par with the European series as shown by the Zytek. Here are links to two different B05/40s with V8 engines:

The Porsche LMP2 would run circles around it, but I won't go there seeing as they're in different 'genres' of automobile.

Well, I don't even think Ferrari has sold the FXX yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.
