Mmmmmmmmmm...

I don't think a Rolls is very common, I'm not so sure about the price and the ''busy street'' part. :)

First people are entering Jaguars, now people are entering Rolls.

I think there needs to be clarifications about the rarity of such cars, not just the price. I mean, technically, I could go find a DeLorean (ultra rare) for about $12000.

Alright, fair enough. Certain manufacturers are excluded from the competition as of now, namely Jaguar and more luxurious. I'm sure everyone on here is pretty knowledgeably about cars, so that shouldn't be a problem...
See if everyone can find themselves a normal car sales website, and when you find a car that you wish to enter, check the NEW price on there, and see if that follows the guidelines.

For example, I see a Jaguar S-Type, and I think "Hey, that'd be great for the competition!" After a couple of happy snaps I come home, check www.drive.com.au (AU pricing only), and check the S-Type. Turns out that I can't get a new one for less than $AU80-90k, so that falls more than $20k outside the price range. Of course, this is a Jaguar and therefore not allowed anyway, so I would've just wasted my time :p.
Do the same with other cars, see what price they would've/are going for, as long as it's not a prestige car. If people are still confused, I can form a list of all cars that are not to be included in the competition.

Sorry Piacki, but I cannot accept that picture as and entry this week, due to the rules I just made (in all fairness). I will allow for you to enter another picture this week, because it's not entirely fair to kick you out in these early stages.

Remember everyone, the point not to shoot the best looking car, rather the best photo of a plain car. Thus, the Civic rule applies easily to every car, and it becomes more about the skill of the photographer themselves.

but an X-type would be ok, right?

Yes, it would, at about 30-50 $USk.

Basically keep this in your head... Don't take the picture because there's a special car in it, take the picture because it's good. Don't go out and find the "best" car in the price bracket, because that means you can't take good pictures and need good cars to make up for it. If you see a car in a wonderful area, or see a car which you think you can take a great picture of, then take it. Skip the fancy cars just because they're fancy...
