 Hi Guys,

I'm so proud to say, My DOG, who havn't born yet (due in december i was told) have brought him self a Lamborghini Diablo SV!!! So of course he can walk him self now !!!

I'm sorry my soon to born puppy cannot write and he is still in his mummy's stomach, so i can't provide a Egg Nog test!

But be sure, i'll teach my puppy how to write and then Egg Nog is all yours!!!

Sorry guys, its sad that someone has to do that to get some attention.

any way, here is the thing, i've looking for another ride to keep the Eleanor company, and i like this one a lot. went to see it with a friend on Thrusday, it looks nice and clean. i've requested a LDAS sheet to see bit more of the "inside" then just the clean body.

here are some photos, the car is currently at Sharp Performance in Melbourne, the photos are advertised on Dutton.com

more info on that website if you want to see bit more

anyhow, i'll get the LDAS read out next week and take a test drive.

any opinions, good or bad, please post

I love this particular color

umm not quite, my daily driver would still remain the Maxima tho.

havn't driven the SV yet, but jumped into the car on thrusday, the bloody clutch is heavier than the Eleanor, and the E-car is a pig to drive around town. hopefully when the engine is turned on, it won't be that bad, tho i don't see it will be any different.

actually, i was looking for a 99 Diablo Roadster, but around here, they are rare as it is. not like in the states, you can just look up Dupont Registry (pretty over priced i think) and find one. here its all about pure luck.

if i find a 6.0 VT, i'll consider, but having said that if i buy a 6.0VT, then i'll thinking may be just a bit more will get me a good used Murcielago.

this one is quite special, the interior is rubbish to be honest, but its got quite a racy feel, which is very different.

tell you what i think of after the test drive next week.

have you heard a Diablo with full exhaust conversions?

I had a friend who use to have one and now moved to Queensland (only sold it because he got married), he lives in Mt Eliza, takes the M1 freeway home from the city, when he go pass the intersection of M1 Freeway and Toorak Rd ( about 4,5 mins drive from my house) i could hear it when i'm watching tv. you can feel the air vibrating. the noise is still not as exciting as a McLaren F1

Ah yes. The V12 of a Diablo. God's orgasm.

It is distinctively one of the greatest sounds a man can hear. Whether you see it, or have the pleasure of driving one (hehe), it will make you grin from ear to ear just sitting in it,turning the key, and listening to the monster in the back start up. Afterwards, you get the joy of taking her out, if you are lucky, and take her up to speed.

Ah, driving it at either 100Mph or just 10Mph through the city, you'll still be grinning, knowing you are in, driving, one of the greatest machines on earth, listening to that monster, that monster that will never leave you afterwards.

i don't want to get flamed here, but i havn't brought it yet! although i was quite temped to give the cheque and start the paper work on thrusday, my common sense got the better of me :D

its advertised for 269K, i think i'll buy it if the dealer can drop to between 240k to 250k. however, as i stated before, there aren't many L cars in the country, and as i understand, this is the only LeMans' blue SV in the country. so .........

taking a test drive next week as well as picking up the LDAS read out sheet.

Personally, I prefer getting something like a fully modded Gallardo.

i don't like the Gallardo, when i went to the workshop to see the car, there were 2 orange G car at the front, and then the SV pulled out, the Diablo just have that presence even the Murcielago don't have.

Personally I prefer COuntach's over all of them.
actually i won't able to fit into a Countach, nor i'll be able to see anything behind it. its built for people under 5 foot 9.

actually, believe or not driving below 40Mph, in the cabin, the sound of the twin fans in the engine bay is louder than the actual engine sound. the engine need to get up to about 4500rpm for the noise to really kick in.

even with the full conversion, the noise is not consistant, it sounds like a little truck between idle to about 4000, then the noise suddently turns into a jet about to crack the sound barrier.

unreal.......

If you get it, is there any chance you can post some videos up? I really want some good onboard vids of Diablos to remind me of the time I went in one. It was a bit wet and as we came out of the little paddock, we went positively sideways. That was my first ever experience of going sideways in a car ... apart from when my brother used to bash his Mini around in a barn and powerslid around the end with a little help of the handbrake and some nifty throttle movement.

Anyone know any british events where you can pay for rides in cars?

you know QuattroMan, that is exactly what i throught last Thrusday. I actually brought my cheque book when i went to see the car.

if the car was in the showroom (it was in the workshop on that particular day, and the salesman drove me to the workshop), and the interior had bit more color than just pure black. i would have bought it! it was just that striking!

but common sense calmed me down, i just that type of a guy that would like to buy a @ car wholesale $, and sell it @ retail $. $15K isn't much, but havning said that, that's one year of insurance, petrol and maintanence.

besides, by the rate of the containers keep on coming in, i might just hold on and buy a 2nd hand Murcielago. see what happens when i go for the test drive ;)

oh yeah if i get it, whenever you in town, give me a buzz.

And I agree with you over the whole presence of the Diablo. At the Lamborghini Showroom in Auckland the two Diablos were parked infront of the Murciealagos and Gallardos there, and I was just so dumbfounded by the Diablos I was like oh ok theres a Murciealago there..what else is there...

Update:

I've picked up the LDAS sheet today, just had a read of it, quite interesting. the ECU basically stores all the data for the past 8 years.

it tells a lot of how the car was used, and from what i can see, the engine had a mild life, may be a few track days. but i'll get an expert to check it out.

BTW, the AMVantage8 would be a fantastic car. i still say go with silver, most secure way to buy a brandnew car.
