View Full Version : Grand Prix Legends?
Right, i've got my new PC, and its up and running. First thing i do? Get this god of a game working. I had forgotten just how fantastic it really was! I got all the patches i needed from http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads and have been playing it endlessly. Does anyone have this game working? Is it worth doing a challenge kind of thing with it? Like the GT and Forza ones running? I may not reply to this thread for a while, going to play this game some more!

I tried installing my copy on this system, but it did not work. In a few days I'll be building up a new system and will give it another shot.
Well, should be fun then.
Turns out i may still be a bit rusty.

So its good for a little comp then? Might even be able to get some sort of photo comp going too??

ADvance notice on patches. Which ones are you going to want us to have before coming on-line ? If you give a simple list then there won't be any delays for anyone joining in.
Well, i have the GPL 1.2 patch, the CPU speed fix, the disconnect fix and the direct 3d patch. So you can see the resolution i can run at from my screenshots, its quite high which is very good with no slowdown.

there was an article in PC Gamer which had all the patches on a disk, if only i could find it...

Or go to the website i linked to and download them all, they are all under a megabyte, i think??? Go to 'Patches' on the download screen.

yeah i saw that one. someones done a high res pack for it that updates all the graphics, textures etc. it looked like a brand new game!
i've never played it myself but i rmeber lots of talk about it being very,very, very hard
It is.
I just spend about 20 minutes downloading new tracks for it! Including a stunt track??? Sounds like a laugh.

Wow, the things you can do to this game. I am currently in the proccess of updating all my cars to the high res versions, and i found this interesting add on.

Here is the result of my high res upgrade. I had to replace all the car files. If anyone is interseted in doing the same say so and i shall go through my process for you.
