Hi there,

saw the Apollo recently at an exhibition in Munich. No - no car exhibition: Drinktec Interbrau... IAA was at the same time... See attached pics. Well - I don't like the color, but the car is one hell of a supercar...

Also got a new website: www.gumpert.de

Cheers

from the top of my head it does 0-60 in 3.0 sec, tops out at 220mph. wieghs about 1200kg and has 650hp (?). the first two stats are true, the others are a bit blurry in my head.

Thanks - I'll try my best :)

The websize says its under 1100kg (dry). So with driver and all liquids I guess somewhere between 1100 and 1200kg. I know somebody who works for them as a mechanic - he said they will also offer a 700hp and 800hp version of the engine... Well - you can never ahve enough power, but 1100kg, 800hp & rear wheel drive!?! That's a weapon...:)

Somewhere the boss of the Company was quoted that he wanted to build a car that is actually capable of driving at the ceiling at high speeds. Wonder if They'll proof it someday...:D

I think Sport Auto recently dealt with it. I have to look it up though

I knew about this car in my brother's Malaysian Evo months ago. Or was it Autocar? Hmmm... I'm not too sure.

it was EVO (didn't it also have a test where the old M5 won?), i read it waiting at an airport and never heard anything more about it.

Did it? I don't know. I don't really read him mags, just happened to see the review about it when HE was flipping through.

It said something like 'Weird name, something supercar'.

I think that the Apollo is exactly what a supercar should be:
- lightweight
- extremely powerful
- difficult to drive
- downforce downforce downforce
- impractical
- raw

Beautifully beautiful, this is... Right. It's what a supercar should be.

And it's Gumpert's first!
