Challenge 15's target time was 1'09.250 which everyone made!


The Rules:

GT4 Challenge 16 will start on Tuesday 1st Nov and finish on Sunday 6th Nov at midnight. Therefore, all times must be submitted by this deadline.
The winner of the previous comp. will choose the car, track, tires, modifications of the new comp.
If the time submitted by someone is unreallistically fast it will be excluded.
You will PM your best time to RazaBlade.
You MUST PM your time to me if you wish for it to be included.
The only member(s) who may post their time before Comp. is over, are

The one with the fastest time will be the winner.
If you have a time that you think will win, take a picture as proof. If you win you will have to present this photo as proof.
If I find out that any time is false, goes against any rules, or is done through any use of unfair play or cheatery, the user will be banned from the competition for one week and will be stripped of all their points.
Scoring goes like this:
1st place recieves 10 points.
2nd place get 8.
3rd gets 6.
4th gets 4
5nd gets 2.
Everybody else recieves 1 point.
There will be a secret time that, under the rules, should be easy to obtain. This will be called the target time. If you meet the target time you will recieve an additional 1 point.

No Driving Aids!!

Ive still kept this one a week as we just did a Grand Valley!!

Dino, you gave me a real scare when you said you had gone faster, but I couldnt go any faster than I already was!
Sorry if people found the last one a bit dull, by request Im doing the full course. By the way, I am more than open to other requests. One thing that would be nice to know is how many of you have the Pagani Zonda LM Race Car. For those that missed it, I initially set the challenge with this, but realised some people may not have it. Therefore, if you havent, you have a week during this challenge to try and obtain it (Missions 21-24!), as Ill use it next week if I win!!

Well, if the consensus is that most people dont have this car, I'll change it.

But I will say, to win 23, you just have to stick it out full speed. Dont slow down to let the other cars catch your draft, theyll do it anyway. Just make sure when your ahead of them, that they line up behind you...

Good to hear mate, although quite a few ppl said they'd enter last week, but I didnt get an overwhelming number of entries!!

I HATE mission 23. Tried a bunch of times with no good result. Then searched tips on the internet, found them and then tried again. Couldn't either.

There is my motivation not to let you win this week. :)

I won Mission 23 the third try without searching any tips, you just have to do some strategic drafting to keep your overall average speed up.

Mission 23- follow yellow line, drive manual, stay in fifth unless absolutely necessary to go 6, dont pull around the car in front of you until last second.

It's okay, the SLR pushes the front end like the M3 did so it's a pain to drive. The cars that will oversteer are a bit are more fun, or race cars which have more grip.

Toyota Super Autobacs Apex MR-S (JGTC) ('00), it costs 500.000 cr. It's the fastest all around, out of the box, car I've found. It handles and brakes like a dream.

I finally got over Mission 23... I wasn´t going to be able to go to sleep if I didn´t complete it. Now, I can start properly on this weeks challenge!!! :)

I had a go round with that Toyota, it was such a dull drive. Admittedly, it drove really well round corners plus braking was amazing, but there was no skill involved. I like cars that provide a Challenge(!), make you have to work at it. Plus, it wasnt much faster overall than the SLR, but the SLR requires way more driver input.

Damn the SLR is a bugger to drive. Done about 20 laps now nad still not getting a devent enough time. Il try another 10 and get the best time.

It's almost too much of a pain to drive but once in a while you can get the rear to step out a bit so you can go through a turn decently.

Yeah, on some of the turns, i jsut used the handbrake to get the rear out. Still, i think i got an alright time. Dont know how good you guys are though :D

Now I see why you though the MR2 was dull. I like precise cars that do what I want, not their interpretation of what they think I want. :D :D :D

Let's have a private shoot out. Me in the MR2 and you in the Cobra. Up for it? Odds are I'm going to get creamed but what the hell, I'm used to it...

Any one care to comment their aprox times in the SLR? Right now I'm between 1.55 and 2.00.

I'm done with the SLR so I might as well go for it. Choose whatever car you want, but production only (Zonda F?). Sport tires and no quick tune at all (I won't quick tune either, but i've got original slicks and much less power).

Deadline is midnight sunday.

Alright then mag, as you didnt set a timeframe for it, and I cant see myself put anymore laps in, heres my entry to the GT4 Challenge 16.5!! I tell you what, that car is sooo much fun to drive, but to drive it competitively lap in lap out takes a lot of concentration and effort. In real life, would way prefer the Toyota as it'd be the safer option! Nonetheless, heres my time

And how many of you have got the Zonda LM? By the sounds of it quite a number...

I have the Zonda LM, it's fast enough and fun enough without any Quicktuning. It pushes the front a bit but that keeps it challenging, and if you drop a wheel off in the grass under braking you will pay. A good car choice for a comp IMO.

I'm 1.53.XXX right now with the MR2, so I reckon this is going to be close!!! Your time with the Zonda is pretty good too. I took it for a spin last night and wasn't even close.

When you take others around the track you realize that the SLR has very good stability under braking.

The Zonda LM is really nice; I'm really looking forward to dumping the SLR for that next week.

mag, Im prob not gonna get any more time to do any more laps, so Im submitting that as my final pretty much. Im not bothered much about winning or losing that one, as they are very different (me on SS, you on slicks, me with more power, etc) but its good to see that you can make your way around a course in more than one way and end up with the same time!!!

On a side note..... had a quick coupla laps in the Toyota. First lap out, 1'58, second 1'57, I was thinking "what the hell is going on?" i wasnt making too many mistakes. Came back and saw your photo, realised you guys were on R Super Soft whereas I was having a go on Super Hard! So, put the right tyres on, took it for a spin, and........
