nothing official but for the VE expect something like the Opel Insignia or the Chev SS concept. others though have said it will look like the new Vectra. likewise though the 2007 Falcon will look kinda like the 427 concept

For the VE, think Lexus IS200.
For the VZ, theink VY but more agressive lines on the bonnet and side skirts

have you seen the designers section of the latest street machine mag? they had a look at some sketches of the 2006/7 commodore and falcon and they looked pretty aggressive, but they had alot of things from the new focus in the falcon, like with the headlights but as a sketch it wasnt bad

No I haven't seen anything from Ford. Might have to have a look.

would you see the "official" pictures of the 2007 from ford before the general public, or do ford and holden just keep the sharing at monthly sales figures

No not really. Depends if they invite us down for a look or not. We had Ford in about 3 weeks ago looking at the SST, just to show off I guess. I reckon that concept looks ugly as hell.

well i dont think ford wouldve been intimidated by it at all. back in 99 when ford re entered the one tonner market i believe holden were still selling series 3 VS utes and have only recently joined ford in the segment because of the success of the AU ute whilst the sedan plummeted in sales, things like that wouldve been going through their heads i reckon.

from what ive heard anyway, its just a one tonner with a flareside rear tub, something thats never really been popular here and more of an american thing.

Yeah I agree with you. It looks a bit strange because the back tub doesn't sit flush with the 1 tonner tray. They side step doesn't come out from the side of the 1 tonner and over the wheels, but goes from where the wheel is in a bit till it hits the tub. So it's like a normal ute, with the sides squashed in.
The only thing I like is the Holden lion pressed into the rear gate.

ive also heard somewhere that if the car gets a good response HBD will offer the tub on the one tonners, do you reckon theres any truth to that?

thats the first I have heard of it. I think they will wait and see what the reaction to it is first

well that would be the wise thing to do. my initial predictions would be that it wouldnt sell that well. the flareside box was the american way of doing a pickup then come 1934 and lew bandt came up with the styleside box
