View Full Version : Chrysler Airflow 1934–1937
Chrysler Airflow
The Chrysler Airflow is an automobile produced by the Chrysler Corporation from 1934 to 1937. The Airflow was one of the first full-size American production car to use streamlining as a basis for building a sleeker automobile, one less susceptible to air resistance. Chrysler made a significant effort at a fundamental change in automotive design with the Chrysler Airflow, but it was ultimately a huge commercial failure.

Works fine for me, but I've been encountering broken attachments that work for other people in the last week, too.

Can I ask something?
Have you just discovered the Airflow?
(No offense meant, it is true curiosity)

I think so. I think I actually saw it mentioned first in L.A. Noire the video game-

But honestly I learn new stuff every day.
Art deco is all around the Chrysler building in NYC too. It's gorgeous.

The Airflow is actually quite a well known car, and controversial too. One of the first mass produced cars designed with aerodynamics in mind, it was a massive flop for Chrysler.
A good place to start is the wiki article.

Indeed it is. Love the art deco style and the Airflow is a dream. They have some wonderful art deco and car prints at http://www.posterlounge.co.uk/art-posters/. I've actually got a copy of this Chrysler poster on my wall. Thought I'd share. Give them a try if you're after vintage auto art!
