Oil pan gasket

i have a 91 plymouth laser rs. the oil pan is leaking so i'm going to try changing the gasket. i was reading through a couple of books and its saying i have to disconnect the exhaust and crossmember, has anyone else ever taken off a oil pan for a laser? did u have to do this or did u just maneuver the oil pan off ? any comments would be great, thanks

If it's mentioned in several books, I doubt that there is a better way to do it :) - Maybe your best bet is just to follow their instructions :D

ya i thought just to follow the instruction, but i thought there would be an easier way
