Have you guys got it on PS2 or PC (I see adam is PC)... whats it like? Comes out in a week or two in UK, thinking of getting it, but still undecided. Is it worth it? My fav NFS still has to be Hot Pursuit, was amazing graphics for its day, awesome playability plus it kept you hooked. I kinda miss those days now, the Underground series didnt really do it for me. So basically, is it anything like Hot Pursuit?

Nice screenys, pergarec!!! I have just started the game like 4 hours ago, and I have only beaten Blacklist #11 so far. Lol I'm so lucky at taking pink slips. :) I used the Punto everytime when it comes to racing Blacklist members, and I have no idea how I won with only the first engine upgrade, first suspension upgrade and first transmission upgrade............So far Punto is the only car that I paid for, all others I got from pink slips. :)

Heh, I paid for the Punto, Clio V6 AND Mercedes SL500. That was a really big mistake, the SL was 75,000 and I've sold it for 37,500. *bangs head in a wall*

The Punto was also a mistake, I mean as a car it's good, but when i got to the point where I had to sell it I was not very happy. :( Modded to the maximum (everything that was available) but I've sold it for only 13,500... :(

I will also make some in-game screens sometime soon...

i liked the car sounds of nfsu2 better than this 1, but i like bein chased by 5-6 cops when they get backup:), then aparently you get supercops in C6 vettes, or big SUV's that try to ram you from opposite direction.

also the handling changed from nfsu2 to this 1, i was thinkin that it'd be same since they're both probably made over the same game engine.

i like the game though, nice cars(CGT, ford GT, Mclaren SLR and others)

not completely off topic, but i was wondering if anyone knows how many gigs are on one 360 game...i know they are dvd's so i'm guessing around 8 gigs

i know the ps3 uses blue ray and has 52 gigs on one disc:eek:

AFAIK, DVD's are 4,7 (4,3) GB, but if they're dual layer then it's possible that they're 8 GB. ;)

In this game. In career mode, you cannot set difficulty. It is on medium all the time. MDS and MDF files are the same as BIN and CUE files. Just use a virtual drive to run them.

It runs pretty nicely. But if you want the game to run smoothly, you will need to turn off shadowing. Your car will be much more brighter but it will run way much more smoother.

Choppy? Look at my screenys in the first post, they're 1280x1024 LCD resolution with everything in the advanced video options topped out. Maybe if you set antialiasing to highest you won't think its choppy.

Btw, one quick question, currently I'm using the Print/Screen button and MS Paint to make my screenys because hitting F12 gives me a 5mb photoshop file. Is it possible to change that so the screenys can be saved as JPG when I hit F12?

Well im running an Abit Raedon 9250 (128MB), and when i play San andreas, NFS Underground 1+2, Splinter Cell and loads more games, it runs smoohly as long as there are no programs running in the background. Best bit of all - Only cost me £40 a year ago ;)

It's a small .exe to hide Virtual Drives when you mount CD1 of the full version of MW using Daemon tools after the game has been installed.

Anyways...the game is great but in the end I need to pull out some money to get a better card. Two weeks ago I bought a BFG 6600 GT AGP only to install it and find out it is defective (I was getting green shapes flashing when playing UG2 and MW demo). Luckily, I was able to return it the next day for a full refund.

I thought my MSI FX5600 AGP at 256 was able to hold up with a little bit of over-clocking but still is not match to MW's requirements, so I'm in the market for the new video card again. I want a 6600 GT, no doubt about that...but I have a choice between Asus, MSI, or Gigabyte. I was thinking to get the Asus 6600 GT (even though it is the most expensive of the bunch) but I know Asus makes quality products.

So my question is, is Asus a good choice and will it be able to run MW at full detail (and I mean everything turned to the max) with a resolution of at least 800x600?

What is that? EDIT: I see SafeDisc comes with Daemon Tools. It looks exactly the same as the SAn Andreas file thaqt i downloaded - i.e burn image file to disc, install and then a NoCd.

When I get around to buy the Cayman S I'll make that into a GT racing car wannabe...

Just started the game last night, spent most of the time to setup the game for my DFP....starting with IS300...

The procedure for the sd4hide.exe is pretty specific, you need to run that first, mount the CD1 w/ daemon or alcohol, press "hide" then play....other order won't work.

As long as the file is hidden then it will work. Started a new account just now to save up all my cars. My other account was running out of money for me to buy all my cars since I was done it 81% but didn't want to rerace Razor.. Took me 1.5 hours to get to blacklist member 10 :P. I am trying to save all my cars and mod them all. to the same level and use the best one for races. I started with the Cobalt, pink slipped the VW Golf, Lexus IS300, and RX8. I missed the Eclipse. It was the right one but I choose the left and middle one.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***

I figured out a way to run the game without safedisc.

Procedures:
1) burn all images to a single DVD (as a data disc)
2) when you pop the disc in, either using Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%, mount the CD1 image from the disc to a virtual drive
3) no need to use safedisc, just double-click the shortcut on desktop :D :D :D

What do you guys use to play this? I am using DFP and it require lots of fiddling for it to work as 2 axis pedal set. And you still get the f-ed up menu selection that you need to hold the gas for it not go the the end of the selection list.

Worst part though, if one has any doubt this was designed for a game pad, just play the drag race mode, even in the "tutorial" it says "tap the steering to left and right to change lane".....good luck "tapping" the wheel....

I am going to give this game the same treatment as the previous 2 NFSU game, play it until I finish it, then uninstall....too bad I can't do my 24 hours straight run as I did for NFSU2(thanks to the wonderful torrent, lol, I got the game before it went retail and finished it before the retailing date)....

The wheel is calibrated, as it works fine in LFS and F1 99-02. It's just EA's console port control scheme is f-ing things up. If it weren't for the fact that it works with mouse doing a lot of selecting(provided that I hold the gas pedal), I wouldn't bother playing this....

Well, after playing it for a few hours - i have to say i really like it. Obviously, the graphics are alot better, and the Free Roam mode is good. It dosent have as many exotic cars like Ferraris, etc, but it does have 2 Lambo's , 1 SLR and a Carrera GT. You start off racing your M3 GTR, and after a few races, it breaks down and the other guy gets your GTR. So you are left with £30,000 to buy a car, choose between -

Lexus IS300
Golf GTI (Over Budget)
Fiat Punto (which i went for, cheap and good)

There is something called the "Blacklist", which iss 15 guys, with the best rides in town. You star tfrom the bottom and have to work your way up to the top to retain the title of #1. You have to do your first race (#15) with a stock car, so you have to drive pretty well, but im sure you guys are all good drivers ;) After that, you have 5 choices, 2 are hidden - one is a pink slip (2nd one) and there are 4 others, 3 are performance parts/visual mods to your car.

Well, thats how far i am, only been playing it for a few hours, hadto put Windows Media Center edition on the Computer, so i only got playing for about 2 hours.

So against Hot Pursuit? Its a difficult one. Id say MW has a wider gameplay, and not all circuit races.

Oh main thing, Cops. They chase you, you evade them, you get bounty :D

Well id definitely pay the £30 to buy it. But downloading is always another option :D:D:D

Funny...I used to have UG2 on my computer but when I installed MW I didn't have it but I still got the extra money because I "owned" UG2.

Have any of you tried the Challenges? Oh man, the first Spikestrip challenge is amazing. You're in a modified Subaru WRX...undercover Pontiac GTOs all over the place, helicopter above you always keeping an eye on you. It is crazy..in a good way. In terms of police, MW seems to be the best NFS yet (but overall, nothing beats NFS High Stakes).

Nope, but aiming to :D If you go through speed cameras at a good 300km/h you get about 100,000 bounty.

The last chase was easy. The old bridge was pretty easy to find because of the yellow marker. I just ran around the highway for 5 mins until Mia gave me a call about the old bridge. If you want a hard one, Try playing the 68th challenge series one, 30mins of pursuit.

You meant you can't outrun these ppl? I did it for a couple times. Just try to confuse the AI system by deciding where you wanna go at the very last second. ;)

I just use speed breaker when it comes to the highway system but trying to outrun them on a straight road with nothing on it is not a good idea. But with lots of obstacles, you can cut through anything and get away. I remember once I crashed and the cop was on the other side of the wall, After 10 seconds. The cop was like "I seemed to have lost him" and drove off.

Rented the Game (still can't get it too work) Been playing for about 6+ Hours non-stop an just beat dude 6 on the black list. Pretty easy game but still good. I've only been arrested once and thats when i was surrounded by 6 bloody undercover monaro cop-cars! Jeez the games addicttive and i've only got it for about 3 more hours so im gonna see if i can finish it:D

Ok. When I click on the Icon, it says insert the correct CD-ROM and try again.

So I go and Mount CD1...it brings up the Most Wanted Screen with Play, Tech Support...etc.

So I click play, and the same "Insert correct CD-ROM" comes in.

If I mount CD4, it won't do anything.:(

Best thing to do is probably uninstall and reinstall.

Mount CD1, and go through with the install, mounting CD2,3 and 4.

Then after install, use sd4hide (i can get you this), and click hide... and your away.

If you have MSN, probably bst to ask me and we can go through it in more detail.

now, i ried to use the one i created usina a key thing, still, didnt lock. so i tried. again.and again. and again. Still wont let me play online. I reckon i have tried about 2--210 serials, and nonne of em lock. Help!!

Well that's the disadvantage of cracked games...no online. There is no way to get online with a cracked version...so if you want to play online, go buy the game.

The only game ever I managed to find a crack to get online is UT04. I found a crack that makes it think you have the UT04 demo and you can get on the demo servers (quite a few I might add).

As of yesterday I have all the cars unlocked. I must say the Carrera Gt sounds the best and is the most fun to drive as well. Also the body kit #2 looks very nice in black on the carrera.

I rented it today, about 3 hours ago. Havent played the whole time, but already on Blacklist 12 or summin (the first girl)...

I have to say, graphics look better than I expected, plus the cars all sound awesome! But...its just a tad too easy, plant the throttle and turn in, not much skill involved. Plus, the opposition seem to sometimes fly past, and then slow up, as if it hasnt actually decided how fast they should be....

I love the cop chases. A lot of fun going through the destructible stuff... Speed-trap races are pretty fun too.

My first car was the Punto, then got the Golf, then the Supra... cant wait to get the Porsches!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive spent quite a while playing it, and although the number of challenges have increased, the difficulty hasnt. Cayman S has to be the highlight so far, just awesome. Im only up to I think Blacklist no 7 as of yet, but I think Ive played more than my fair share!!
Those damn Holden police cars are a nuisance, hard to lose them, esp when theirs 7 all around ya!

Haha! I took out Sgt. Cross through a Crash Breaker! It was awesome, even though he reappeared instantly.

Them Vettes sure put up a fight. But I did manage to get away.

Here's a tip:
1: Don't use the highways. The high speeds make it harder to slow down for sudden spike strips.
2:College Station is great if you're looking for ways to get around them. The grass and walk ways usually take out a Vette or 2 all the time. And there's even a Hiding spot there.:D

Unfortunately EA over-used all those fancy graphics, making all of us suffering these super-bright effects. Those crackpipes really need to get laid. :D I can't use bright white on my cars since they can blind me in no time. :p

Can you tell us which parts, vinyls and rims did you use to transform this GT into a GT40?
It's the gulf colours, and body vinulys (sp?)..

Stripe vinyl, all gloss colors, and I forgot about the rims. :D I'm sure you can match it, it really only took me about 5 min to get that done. :) I'm starting to miss the number of options you get in NFSU2.............These bodykits are annoying me. But I can still make handsome cars with the right combo. :)
