From what I've read and herd. The FJ Cruiser is going to be the "landcruiser" with a different name. I'm not positive on that one though. I will continue to look for a new landcruiser though, but i haven't herd anything about toyota planning a new landcruiser. The Toyota site has no info on the subject either.

I'll take everything i just said back. The landcruiser is still in production and is on the toyota corp. web site. Here are a couple pics. I believe this is the same style/model they will have in 2007, although the pics are 2006.

I think you are looking for the all new 130 series that's replacing the current 105 series.
I saw the pictures in the " 4x4 Adventure Magazine " but can't find the web site now.

If i can trace it , i'll send it .

He wants the landcruiser. Not the FJ cruiser. I believe those pics are right. I haven't herd of them replacing it with anything. Or at least not in the states.

Actually I have some confirmation that the 130- 2007 Landcruiser will be a Toyota Sequioa based vehicle. The photos in the last post do resemble this clearly. If so we lose the individuality of the land cruiser and its unique almost mid-upper size, and all the handling that goes with this. I and my son have had 3 landcruisers need I say more. The reliability and function keeps these as unique vehicles. I dont think a supersize Sequoia based vehicle is in order, sorry they didnt redesign the current model

In 1997, Toyota released a limited edition 40th anniversary Land Cruiser. Does anyone know of plans to release a 50th anniversary edition late this year or early next year?

Just a word on this subject, the new LC 130 seems to be already on the road in France Paris.

I think there seems to be a confusion going on in terms of what toyota is really planning on the LC 2007 model.

Seems that Toyota has put a new line out being the 130 series as the previous states to compete with the GM Suburban and the Aramada being in that class of vehicle, and that the current 100 series LC is not going to be replaced but most likely a facelift.

Speaking to the local toyota agents here it seems that they are keeping things low down or really dont know what they are expecting.

Either they are over stocked with the 100 series LC or toyota has not advised anything as of yet.

Whats interesting to find out is if toyota has replaced the gearbox and the engine on the new LC 130 series.

If they are going to be sticking with the standard 100 LC series setup the V6 and V8 is going to turn the 130 into a really gass guzzler.

IMHO maybe it's about time toyota gives us an inside on whats really happening, if I am not mistaken LC 100 series has crossed the 10 year mark.

Toyota hear us out we are waiting for an answer :)

I am in a position to 100% confirm that the 100 series replacement is the 130 and will be out in petrol in feb 2007 and turbo diesel in oct 2007.

you just reminded me of the jeep offroad trip, some guy insisted on having the top off and had to hose out his interior afterwards...thick layer of dust on everything!
and of course, being a jeep it will break down :D usually just after you've used it's 4WD abilities to get somewhere remote...

Ive heard they burn well, so at least they will keep you warm or act as a distress signal until you get rescued in a Hilux or a Landcruiser:eek:

yeah, you don't have to ignite it yourself either - it will spit oil all over the engine all by itself, just fan it a little bit... :D

Lmao, how ironic!

My friend who owns a Jeep Wrangler actually burned the interior of his Jeep when one of his friends accidentally left a lit cigarette on the seat or something. :)

Hey just thought u would like to no some info about the new landcruisers of a mate that works at toyota. the 200 series will be coming out with a V8 twin turbo comin rail diesel engine is gonna be a bit squarer like the jeep comander. the LC troopie RV will no be comming out with 4 doors.

The New landcruiser will be released in November 2007 in Australia and it will have a twin turbo diesel V8. They have had some trouble getting it past through ADR's due to the phenominal power to weight ratio. The FJ Cruiser is not what will replace the Land Cruiser. The new Troopies are out alreadt with a single turbo V8.

MotorWeek TV had a segment on upcoming models and showed the new LC. Atleast the US models will get the new 5.7 liter V8 from the new Tundra. Looks very similar to the 07 models, maybe a little bigger. Official pics can't be far.
