I was looking at this pic of the original Sunny and thought to myself that this must be one of the most boring cars of the nineties.

So I set out to transform it into something a bit more exciting. I thought that since the new GTR will probably be higher up in the food-chain, why not turn it into something that can keep Rex and Evon company? At first I tried chopping, but sheesh turning this car into something better using it's existing panels was just about impossible...

So think of this as a hybrid between a chop and a design. :D

So here it is, the old and the new. I'm guessing there's about, oh, 5% of the old car's parts that were carried over to the new design.

Thats pretty sweet i must say. The hood scoop looks way off but otherwise it's very good.

Hehe, wow! Thanks for the link Viagra!

I once heard a rumour that this Sunny in particular were sold in 21 different variaties around the world... Some didn't even share the same chassis! No wonder Nissan had financial troubles!

I know in some parts of the world this car was sold as the Sentra, and I think Stella as well, not sure of the latter name though.

Here's a tweaked sample devoid of the hood-scoop...

so much better without the hood scoop.
ok, now looking past the scoop..the nissan badge on the front looks a bit off. The rear wheel's a bit blurry and not all the panels have the same blue. Apart from that, very nice indeed. Keep it up.

Thanks Vaigra and Painterr. :)

Yeah. I always struggle with the rear-wheel. I don't know if it's The Gimp that's not up to it when adjusting the perspective and angle, but I tried everything with it, and that rear-wheel's always blurry! :(

The color, yeah, I created it using the Smudge-tool in The Gimp. In the end, the color didn't seem quite right... Hehe, the bonnet's color especially seems out of whack!

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. :)
