Hey, found this in the cars guide. Talking to a friend who will remain nameless...he said that what he read about the game made it not seem that great...this article (below) made me want it, so i thought id share it. Low quality because of my slow internet, but its still easy to see what im trying to portray.
I've been looking for a rally game..preferrably a WRC one, i was going to buy one eventually...then i saw this. New, up to date, and original. Sounds like a lot of fun, it could be the one.

whats your opinions on the game, anyone played it?
Do the realistic parts of it get annoying, IE hitting animals?

You can get it new on Ebay for cheap - I saw it myself and think it's still there.

Saw it when I was picking up GTL.

Offering rocks and log piles that collapse in your way. Houses burn and pipes burst, obscuring the road. Spectators stand in perilous places and scatter as you close in and WATERFALLS ?? WTF ???????

When did you last see ANY of that happen in a real WRC event ?

Sorry, they've improved the graphics and then dumbed it down to attract the "Japanese arcade game" players :(

GT Legends.

Classic racing built on the improved GTR ( GT Racing ) game engine for the PC.

Sadly the A110 isn't as tail happy OR controllable as it is in real life :( BUT this is likely more to do with the missing sensation of seat-of-the-pants feel !!!

Good fun for those brought up watching 60s racing.
Already had a race where me in Mini was swapping lead with Ford Falcon at every corner and straight !!!!!!

I think its partially due to driver skill aswell

but sadly, they did tone down the reallism in GTL to make it more appealing for the gaming crowd.

WRC evolve, bit of a shame that they went from very realistic, to no realism at all :(

Well rocks are always there and logs can be found too.

Houses burn
Saw that in 2003

and pipes burst,
Car pipes?

Erm.....1982?

When did you last see ANY of that happen in a real WRC event ?
2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 1982

Fits in?

you've NEVER seen logs or rocks rolling down :D You have seen cars hitting them !
Any thing which afects safety on a stage means a cancelled stage !!!
When did a house burn down ?? Missed that !!
Well if we're going to use the excesses of 1982 then they should also include from 1920s and wooden spokes on wheels braking and having to reverse uphill for "realism".

I didnt think WRC 4 was an improvement atall over wrc3, its never been anywhere near as realistic as the colin mcrae series. Therefore i wouldnt expect much of this.

WRC II: Extreme was simply kickass. In some reviews, as good or much better than the CM Series (can't say for myself because I haven't played CM).

Richard Burns was the best for me in terms of controlability mirroring the real world.

The later CM series got a little too arcadish in handling :(

The McRae games are pretty good, except that you can absolutely blast the car into a solid object and still drive away and although the high speed handling is pretty good, if you actually try to drive the car through the stages at steady speeds and keeping to a certain line, you'll notice how the car seems to 'float' on the road...to fully appreciate this try driving a 4WD car at 30 or 40, keeping to the normal driving position for road driving - then you'll see how it affects you when you race on the game.

It's like sex ...... once you've been with a woman the sheep is never quite as good :D or summat like that :D

That's what I wanted to hear. Apparently the co driver was made really well and is one of the highlights of the game.
Sadly, I'm getting a PSP for christmas (bet you never expected that sentence to exist) and im no longer sure how long it will be beofre i can get the game, but I'll hire it before christmas.
PS look out for me PSP Pricing thread, i need to know more about the pricing of the accessories in Australia.
