do you work for a photography based company or something? ive noticed that sometimes you use an EOS 20D, and other times a rebel. Or are you just plain rich?

I work for a camera chain and at the same time I'm a student at the University of California, Irvine (that's why some of my entries are pictures from there). I recently upgraded from a Digital Rebel to a 20D, and that's why you'll see the Rebel on some of my older pictures. I get a full scholarship from the school so I have a bit more money to spend than most of my peers, since almost all my income from work goes into photography.

I like the perception of depth resulting from your use of wide angle.

This looks like a competition with great pictures again. I will enter a (in my opinion) great picture therefor this week :)

When me and my dad were on a long hike from our hotel, we walked on a pth. This tiny little waterfall, crossed it :) Thank god, it was a very hot day, becuase i got wet socks and shoes in the process of taking the picture. I leaned down, onto my knees in the water. The result turned out very nice.(IMO;))

The 300D's buffer can only hold four images. That definitely was not enough for me, and that was the biggest reason for switching. Aside from that, the 20D offers more control over white balance and custom functions, and performs much better in low light. Not to mention that it is much faster at anything it does and it is better built.

Cheers to Lani Kai and Sauc3, two incredible pictures. Piacki's is quite good as well, but I think he lacks better equipment. (it sucks not having a 1000 dollar camera these days :))

I'm just interested because I'm saving up for a new canon SLR but cant decide whether to get the 350D or the 20D, the 20D would talk a while longer to save up for but i dont know whether its worth spending the extra money on or not.

Actually that was taken with a "holiday" camera, nothing special. All my entered pictures have, and it's nowhere NEAR the proper cameras some people use here.

Although I am happy to announce I bought a Konica Minolta Dynax 7D with a twin lens kit yesterday, so I finally have a proper camera (that's actually mine, not my parent's). Takes a bit of getting used to though!

easy answer; it's definitely worth the extra money if you want a faster processor and shutter speed, as well as a slightly higher resolution and a better battery. i tried a 350D earlier this week and immediately thought it felt cheap, seeing as it's smaller and lighter than my 20D. but that may only be a prob since i'm used the the size and weight of mine.

well I'll make my mind up when i need to, right now i dont know whether its worth me using so much money up on it. After all i am 17 its not as if i have a big income like you. So i think the 350D is a good choice for me.
