although imo he was crazy and fast since he believed in god , he was also a great pilot with an agressive style and perhaps the most talented of his generation:

As any guy obsessed with something, Senna was pushing the limits all the time. It was sometimes clear from his driving. He was probably a difficult person, but also an epic driver.

Great videos

See http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com/f1_movies/1985/SennaBrandsHatch.asf for Senna at Brands.

If you compare with http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com/f1_movies/Misc/brand.mpeg you can see the difference between Senna and Stewart.

and for al the Dutch GPL fans -- the epitome of SMOOOOOTH ..... http://itr.popsmart.dk/1967season/stewart_zandvoort.wmv

No kidding, if so please post. I was quickly hooked to his driving style. Although i do not remember much or anything about his races when i was a kid. I was only about 6 when he died. But i do remember watching F1 races with my dad. Watching these brings back alot of memories. Great clips. :)

I noticed that he did not have to downshift, did the car automatically do it, can someone please explain.

First: what video are you talking about? Anyway, there is no such thing as automatic downshift.

I think he was refering to the Jackie Stewart video, because the gear lever is on the left when he was expecting to see him downshifting with the right hand. ;)

But he is. Tyrrell was right handed gear change.

I was talking about the first video, as Senna was slowing down he didn't take his hand off of the steering wheel.

Yes he does take his hand off the wheel to downshift. It only requires the slightest flick of the wrist to swap ratios in cars like that so it's not a very pronounced motion, but he definitely takes his hands off the wheel. :)
