View Full Version : DAF trucks not starting at Dakar

The 2006 Dakar rally will have 4 trucks less than expected. The 4 DAF trucks of Jan and Gerard de Rooy, Hans Bekx and Marcel van Vliet aren't allowed to start. The FIA refuses to approve the trucks. They say that the technical papers aren't ok.
Hans Bekx already told he wont appeal against the decision.

Thats bad news, but somehow that last sentence leaves a weird taste in my mouth :(

Well in the 2005 edition he was second overall until he got kicked out on the last day... I don't think he wants to make more trouble with the FIA because they can give him hard times...

Why does he deserves it? Just because of some papers??
Anyway I think that in 2005 there was something with his truck, but somehow everything was alright untill the last day...
