no wonder these comps are so outta whack. you're not supposed to vote for a shot cuz you thought the subject was funny. No offence to syko, but I don't think it has a chance of being the 'best photo' IMO.

No offence taken:) , i just thought it was a nice clear shot of my sisters dog. My last entrent didn't even get a vote, you would have thought that would have deterred me but you would have been wrong.

i know i take quite nice photos, but not winners. I have won only one competition so far, but some people feel that it should have been atleast 2 or more :) Does that deter me away from my own photo competition ? No. lets hope it doesn't do that for everyone.
Edit: the best picture in this comp according to me, are my own and Whitebalzz's.

its perfectly fine if you vote for a picture because its funny, as long as it speaks to you, and as long as it being funny makes it better than the rest

It could've been a lot better. The photo mentioned is out of focus and has water on the lens. On top of that, this is not the first waterfall photo you've entered. People go for originality, also.

It's a slow shutter speed, hence the branches are swaying in the wind.
