Anthony Davidson is, yet again, set to miss out on a race seat, with reports indicating that Formula Nippon racer Yuji Ide will partner Takuma Sato at Super Aguri.
The new team is confident they will be permitted to join the grid for the 2006 season, and Sato is regarded as a shoo-in for the first race seat.
Although Davidson, his former BAR team-mate, had been considered the favourite to race alongside the Japanese crashaholic, Autosport claims that the team is set to appoint an all-Japanese partnership.
Ide would apparently bring valuable sponsorship to the team and is backed by Japanese firm Mobilecast. What the reasoning behind Sato's appointment is, we've no idea.
