As far as I know, HIM is a Finnish melodic rock/gothic bunch. I spose if you MUST generalize, it could fit under heavy metal, but I hesistate when I say that.

I've seen the HIM logo a couple of times, but its name clears a lot up. Heartogram...I see it now!
