looks like a tubular chassis with panels welded on.

i cant believe its only pulled 11's and a top speed of not even 220kph...

my 200 can go faster with only 250ishHP (pulls low 13's)

my 200 can go faster with only 250ishHP (pulls low 13's)Maybe because it has a lot of torque and gets a lot of wheel spin. I love it anyway. That torque is great. More torque is great. I like torque.

Best Topspeed:

I just want to add that I really like the clean setup in the engine bay. No loose wires and shit like that spread all over. Really simple layout and for some reason that makes it look really reliable to me.

I always wanted something like that. I would really like to molest that car on the highway. Very dirty, hot and wet.
They have videos hahahaha

hahahaha in one video it must of been going 70 mph and it was still spinning tires.
I love it.
I think the exhaust manifold in one video is glowing.

i think the 217kmh topspeed may have been at trap speed on the 1/4. 500+hp with 265 probably non-slick tires would be the reason for the slow E/T but high trap speed

so it is an irrelevant figure then?

Some history of the Manta, it's in Swedish but there are quite many pictures:
http://www.hilmersson-racing.com/start.asp?show=b
Seems like the engine from the original wasn't in a perfect condition so they put a Ford Granada V6 in it, but it ended up too nose heavy. They then switched to a B21ET from a Volvo 240 Turbo.

...and the build process:

edit: one thing that was new to me was that the Manta was actually avaliable in the exact same orange back when it was in production.
