Rules:
the deadline is this friday
the photograph must be yours
the photograph must be attatched using the UCP system
the photograph image must be no larger then 800 x 600
the photograph must be the original upload and not edited in any way other than to resize
the photograph can contain ANY image (other than adulterous material)
the photograph must be taken no earlier then 6 months before start date
Any users who enter and vote for themselves automatically recieve a 2 week penalty from the competition and all votes previously given to his/her photo are removed.

the entry must contain the following information:

date taken
type of camera
subject matter

You can use a tripod and a bit slower shutter speed and that's it. :p

Thanks, and yeah I did a few contests ago. I figured I'd get this one out because any longer and it'll be past the 6 month mark.

And myporsche, to get this shot I sat the camera on a ledge with a four second shutter speed and just hoped one would strike in that time. So yeah, it was a bit of chance, but it's not too hard. It's pretty fun, very rewarding when you get one.

I've gotta say though, all the pictures are really good this week. Especially sauc3's, that shot is just spectacular.

setup are long shutter speed shot in the middle of a thunderstorm you cant go wrong realy :rolleyes:

woiw really? usually when i am working with long exposure if a light flickers really fast it doesnt show up at all, or is very very faint

you mightn't have a large enough aperture set to capture the light

when its so much light as a bolt of lightning over a normally pitch black landscape, it shows up perfectly.

large appature will fix that Mp, you just gotta know your equiptment.

The lenses on Sony cameras are no more Zeiss than the Leica lenses on Panasonics and the Schneider lenses on Kodaks.
