the pics were taken on departure for the PB parade. I might have one with you on board:)

No - I met up with them at the Historics at Laguna Seca on Saturday and rode with him and a friend from the track out to their hotel. It was a great experience and he was incredibly kind to have made it happen for me.

When he purchased the car the week prior it had 170 miles on it. By the time I got in for my ride it had just rolled past 400. Kind of sad for a car built in 1997, but it's nice to know its in the hands of someone who will use it now.

It was an easy spot too as most owners don't roll around on the travel lugs, but he didn't have the toolkit with the car to swap them out.

Well, I was in the paddock that whole Saturday but didn't spot the Mac then.

They actually parked it in a very poorly marked handicap spot (oops) outside the bathrooms that are across the bridge which crosses the track between turns 5 and 6. (photo 1) I would have never left my F1 there unattended like that - I just don't trust people that much I guess.

To keep it from getting towed <gasp!> we brought it down into the paddock for about 20 minutes before leaving. (photo 2) You may recall some of the cars in the background that were in front of this semi throughout the day. It was in the corner of the paddock right in front of turn 4.

Finally there's an on-board shot of me... What a day! :D

I thought they were wonderful - they really coddle you, while still providing a great view.

henk - the guy leaning into the car appears to be the owner based on those shoes, but I don't recognize any of the others standing around.
