Very nice to see you back, Spenser.

Just two things. Could you please list all modifications. And, if burning is not an in-built feature on any camera then your picture will be disqualified (refer to list of allowed modifications in rules).

Thanks.

burning and dodging has been around since photography was invented. it predates digital photography and photoshop by hundreds of years. it should be allowed in for any photo competition, let alone one that is based around digital manipulation.

These rules are getting a bit rediculous.

SPHFerrari
01-29-2006, 07:07 PM
i agree. the photo competitions should be here to create a way for people to get good critique on their photos so they can improve. in the photo competitions you should only be restricted in adding stuff that was not in the original photo and in this competition there should be no rules whatsoever.

nice photo niko, i like it. im not sure i like the use of selective color. i would be interested to see it in full color and in full black and white. could you do a full black and white version and maybe boost the contrast a bit? i think that owuld look great.

This photo competition was created to be a fair comp for everybody. Nobody has to agree or disagree, and I'm not looking for opinions.

If "there are no rules whatsoever" fifty percent of this competition becomes a chopping comp. Even now there are many of us who don't know how to chop, which gives the choppers an advantage, which isn't fair. Every digital exception on this comp is an inbuilt-feature on some type of camera, so if one doesn't have it, it isn't fair for him. Burning and dodging may have been in the dark room for many years but we don't have anybody who uses analogue's here do we?

Please refer to my earlier post requests.

Thanks :)
