Not quite the same old, same old. They took the opportunity to test the updated model on a family holiday.

Now that's a shock i thought holden and ford had cruise control standard across there large car range:eek:
The turbo version will go great it's what is missing for the young ones to buy it. I would have loved a turbo when we had one:D.

Its something alot of people take for granted, but its only a $200 option that alot of people overlook. I guess it gives them some leverage with special editions as well.

Supposedly they'll get the full spec XR6T engine for the turbo instead of the originally planned lower pressure version. I cant imagine them making a version less than 6 psi.

If i go Bathurst this year and we dont get a VZ or 380 and go for the Terra again i just bet they won't hire the turbo version:(

I cant imagine too may hire companies going for such a premium product, but you might get lucky

Yeah we wanted to hire one for Bathurst but couldn't find one, So we went the Terra for Bathurst.
Last year on LS1 someone on there hired a Adventra:eek: i wanted to know where so i could get one:D.

i dunno if u wouldve been better off, u probably wouldve been able to hire the tezza for less if you found an adventra

They would class them both as wagons but only in RWD, So the Adventra would have to come under the AWD category i guess.

thats probably the case. you probably wouldve put the fuel bill through the roof in the Adventra though

The Terra was bad enough trust me:D I would have just drove a Wagon XT:) But the terra was fun.

The wagon though wouldve had the horrible rear end though.

You know im surprised so many people are whinging about the Tezza's fuel consumption, you wouldnt get better from a petrol 100 series, Prado, Patrol or Pathfinder

Thats true on fuel.
I didn't get to ride in the rear much only twice to the shops:p.

We had the Terra loaded up big the rear was down and on the way got about 12.9L coming back we gave it hell and got a better return of about 12L.
When my brother took it to the Grampians he got about the same also.
But he will trade his Fairmont in for his next car which will be a Ghia Territory.

That mustve been alot of highway driving then as theres no way you'd get that around town. Although i suppose to put it in perspective, a Commodore might get around 8L on a highway run

Yep straight to Bathurst, My AR%S was killing me when i got out:p
But all in all was a great easy drive and when you think that is the base TX:eek: Value for money there:)
If i every get my fuel consumption right it will do about 8L on the highways.
But a VY V6 can do it in the 7's which makes it even more impressive and thats why i wont one:D

That'd be just you in the car, sitting at 100-110km/h in top gear though of course. You can be surprised how quickly everything changes with some extra weight

SlickHolden

My car with all gears:D Can sit on around 1700-1900rpm. @ 127kw 293Nm 1300kg. Then take a VY 152kw 305Nm 1600kg? And i have herd of people getting 600km from full tanks on average:eek: I get 260km:p. But I'm looking forward to fixing that soon.
But how is this for bad luck, I'm ready to fix the Tranny and I'm leaking from the radiator now:(

fpv_gtho

That is pretty bad luck there..At least some radiator leaks might just be a hose issue. Try sticking an egg in their though, it'll boil and block small holes :p some backyard mechanics there

You been watching the bush mechanics:p Gabar gabra gaba wooda yekiemyekiie:D

I read that a VY V6 can get 6.5lt on highways:eek: that kills myn @ 8lt when new:(

I might try that egg do i do that when hot or from cold.

It's weird I'm really not loosing any water but it's not a small puddle under it from the right or left standing in front of it. the hose is on the left or right standing in front, And the hose looks good to me i will give it a tighten to see.
