DC Auto Show Pictures

Just wanted to share a few pictures from the DC auto show when I went yesterday. There was so much to do that I only wound up remembering my camera for a few photos though. :p

Jeep Commander on the "Camp Jeep" trail that I eventually went on. Have to say, after the ride I had in this thing I have absolutely no doubts that the Commander can off-road with the best of them. Found myself reaching for the "oh-@#$%" handles on the roof more than once! :D

Hehe, yeah, take some good pics for me. I realized I have a few more that didn't download properly from my camera (besides the Porsche pic that I posted in the Porsche thread--I'll post it again here), so I'll try and come back in and post some of them when I get them downloaded.

Do you know if they're going to do that thing with the Commanders, Wranglers and Liberties at your show? That was kinda fun, if they have it you should check it out.

they did the same thing at the British motor show a while ago using Rangies, they had them on two wheels sometimes and had them balancing on three wheels sometimes, would of had a ride in one, but the queue was rather long, and the Mini theatre's queue was non existant (think 3 convertible mins, Russ swift and friends a jump and a lot of handbrake turns!) if anybody wants i could try to dig out some videos...

She probably ignored and told him to do something.

It's alright though. I'm almost 19 and I still get assholes who do that. I had it happen last year with Ferrari's showcase at Dallas. The d*mn dealer needs to send people from the dealer, not these random fools.

the CLS55 AMG is one of my favorite cars now
i love the paddleshifters how their built into the steeringwheel instead of sticking out. i love the suede on the wheel and seats
and the trunk is awesome
you press a button and it opens automaticly and you press a button and it closes by itslef
i spent 10 minutes standing in awe with my friend using the trunk. and its got enough storage space to be a dirty mob car

it was a beast to see in person but the only drag back was no one was paying attention to it, they were all staring at the challenger right next to it

i went on friday the 27th
it was amazing
i got up at 830 left picked up my mate drove to dunn loring train station got on the metro took 1/2 hour to get there so i got right before it opened. i started on the top floor so as soon as i walked in there was a red/white ford GT and the red/white shelby gt500.

it was kinda funny the guy telling facts about the mustang was telling how much the car sold for at barret jackson and he came up to me and asked me and he was astonished when i got it right.
and the guy standing with the challenger asked me what the stripes were made out of and i said carbon fiber and he was pretty supprised too
i took a huge video of the CGT but i found out when i got home it didnt store because i turned my camera off right away.

Did either of you get to do the Jeep trail-rated ride? I hear that the line was really long later in the evening and on the weekend, but when I went it was really short, about 5 minutes. Managed to get in a Commander to run the circuit. The huge hill was admittedly a little scary on the way down, but I was quite impressed after riding it that any of those vehicles were able to do that.

Also got to see the Redskins cheerleaders do a few cheers, which made my afternoon. After that I just walked around in a daze and drooled for a few hours.
