I was reading about holdens new V8 in carsguide...it was their complete review of holden's new V8 and it went on about it being the LS2 Gen IV, the same from the HSVs...but I thought it was L76 or something like that...not the LS2...this is a screw up is it not??

yeah, i remember reading that it was a 6.0L, but a detuned one/not the same as the HSV engine

I know for sure that its not the exact same one as the HSVs but carsguide says that its the same...:confused:

I think HSV have the Gen4 LS2 whilst Holden have the Gen4 L76 whatever. Its still a Gen4, the 4th generation Chev small block all the die hard fans say is taking the fight to Chryslers copycat engine and Fords modular range.

the new 6.0L holden is using is the L76, but without the VVT or DOD, OR the 6Lsomething 6-speed auto, which may have been a mistake i think, they are being saved for the VE
