KITS.

Seeing some real masterful kits built-up on this site I was tempted to try for myself.

The MX-5 is by Tamiya and I painted it Italian Red (TS-8)

The 1967 GTO is my AMT in metallic Blue (TS-19)

It's designed like that, so they slip on/off.

Nice work!Thanks. :)

What is the best way of painting fine detail? Tricks or tips welcome...:)

I thought about taping around the door handle but then decided to just dab it with a small brush. :(

And these are your first? Wow, everyone I know started model building when they were young.

I tried a few ages ago, I think one was a Panzer tank and some other military vehicles but I just didn't enjoy building back then. I remember being very impatient about it and didn't get too much out of modeling. Strange, because I really enjoyed these. So much so, that I got another six kits. Now I can't wait to work on them. :)

However, that's the last AMT I'll build. Eventhough I don't have a lot of experience, I can tell they're probably the worst kits. Mainly bad fit and wacky wheel/tire design...

Do you build?

Yeah, when I have time, mostly Tamiya and Revell. I hate AMT to, but with a chaep price comes cheap quality. BTW, have you ever been to Tamiyacon?

If a Clear-bodied Ferrari F2001 I recently picked up turns out nice, maybe it.
