In progress: Revell 360 Spider.

Color sanded once so far. I seem to be having most trouble spray painting. Never seem to get an even coat.

The contraption; I fashioned out of a wire-hanger and some alligator clips, with taped teeth as not to imprint bite marks. :D

Engine almost complete, needs some glue and logos.

personally, i would clean up the tree connectors i.e. those on the exhaust.

Will do, although the engine will only be visible through the transparent engine cover and the exhaust won't show.

i want to do that kit soon. for the bonnet grilles, try using nylon mesh or just paint it black instead of using the decal

That might be a good use of the nylon mesh that came with. I can't imagine getting the mesh cut and installed cleanly enough into the Roll Bars and wind deflector to look good.

I probably will leave the Roll-over bars without any mesh...

are you going for the challenge stradale style grilles(replace plastic pieces for grille and use nylon mesh instead) look up at the front?

I decided to assemble this kit as supplied. I don't think that any modifications will come out quite right. The mesh doesn't cut very cleanly and is best displayed through the numerous air-ducts. The water-slides grills for the engine don't look great but atleast they're the right shape and will fit perfectly.

Anyone? Those knowledgeable in creating C/F patterns, can you similarly create a simulated grill effect?

paint job looks very good for a black car. It always visibly suffers from sticky fingers:)

It's actually Blue, TS53 (Deep Metallic Blue) but like Black it was a tough one to paint. :(

Looks nice! That's the hardest Tamiya color to photograph.

Very true. I tried photographing it outdoors in bright light but the blue is just too deep. A couple of shots with w/ and w/o flash along with comparison cars in TS-7(Racing White) and TS-60(Pearl Green), which both photograph accurately.

Is this the blue that was introduced at the occasion of the re-issue of the Wolf WR1 kits (1/12 and 1/20)?

No, that's a deep solid blue.

TS53 was originally a Repsol bike color which eventually became a regular line paint like Tamiya occasionally does.

I see. I just picked it because it most closely matched this Ferrari color.
