my uncle wants to trade in his existing model to get that. they're not going to sell well in Europe for obvious reasons.

Escalade...yuck. I love Cadillac, but not the Escalade. Cadillac isn't a truck company. Make it less tall with a softer ride and they have a real Cadillac though. In a way, I suppose it's the last vestige of the real Cadillac.

They're obviously planning on pushing it about at the show, filling it up with fuel is going to make quite a large dent in any profits they might want...

I think you mean "Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDi, for example or the Benz M/G320/400CDi"

True. They used to ofer a diesel Suburban (the same underpinnings as the Tahoe, which later would serve as the base for the Escalade), but curiously enough they don't offer it now. I think the new Duramax Diesel, though a little peaky, would be an OK match for this thing. And might offer better fuel economy.

Why, why do they continue to built this stupid SUV's?

And about speaking better fuel economy, I just dont get it...

I just hope the intelligent (yah, we're stupid in North America!) Europeans wont buy them...
