ok, all you experts

i've made those pics couple of days ago, but today my friend said this isn't a real S4

i know that the rear bumper is different from how the common S4 looks like, but maybe it's some kind of a kit

Fake. It's got standard Audi wheels.

EDIT: It's also missing the black rubber side stripe below the door.
Looking at the exhausts, I'd say it's a 1.8T
Did it have Aluminium wing mirrors? If not, then it's not an S.

Yeah it's a fake one, absolutely certain.

No wider wheel arches, skinny tires, no big exhausts... not S4

Its funny when people put on fake badges... For example a bloke down my road has a BMW 318 but he put on a M3 badge...

There's an RS6 Avant around here with normal mirrors.

That's nothing.

I've seen an newish (early 00's) Mercedes with both an "Type R badge" AND a "Turbo" (as in Porsche Turbo) badge on it. That was the most confusing car ever.

Second place in my books goes to a late 90's Opel Vectra that looked completely normal except for one thing, the Opel badges were replaced by not so good fitting Mercedes ones.

NEITHER of these cars were driven by ricer kids, but middle aged people... Both me and my brother laughed ourselves to tears on both occasions.

OK, so the aluminium mirrors isn't definitive then, but if it DOES have the aluminium, then it's an S4. The rest of my points still stand :)

Yeh the 'M3' also had a Mugen Power logo on the dash... Also there is a V'Hall Nova with a R32 badge on the back and a Audi badge on the front...:D

I think the aluminum mirrors were only on S versions after a certain year like 02 or 03 or so maybe?

No. Aluminium mirrors have been on fast Audis for ages. See the S8, which was... 1995? And the S6, which was around the same time.

The aluminium mirrors can be deleted at no cost from your new RS/S Audi at no extra cost. This is done for more of a street sleeper vibe...

That is most definitely a fake, and not a very good one at that.

Hah here's the same somewhat. Once saw a Diahatsu Sirion with Porsche badge in the front, Mitsubishi at the back and Mini Cooper on the sides. Black, tinted windows, exhaust, side skirts (but no front/rear bumpers), and plastic BBS wheel imitations.

How do they go through all the trouble and not put the right wheels on the car??? Thats the most obvious thing... if you want to disguise a car properly.. go to the most obvious things first, unless you want to trick just the ladies :D

Chrome wing mirror casings can be specified on the A4 as well as S4 models. Someone around Derby is selling a black "S4 Lookalike" - the whole S4 kit except they've not denied what it actually is - a 1.9TDi - the badge is still on the back.

It actually looks really nice...
