I'm a big fan of billiard games like snooker and pool. But what do you play?

Not exactly sure because I've never heard of most of those definitions here but I voted for 'Straight Pool' which I think fits the description - seven balls each and then the black?

I first started playing my favourite game at 15 and got to be pretty good at it, if I might say. Even cleaning up off the break became no longer the 'miracle occurance' it once was - just a bit of luck and you were in with a chance, if not in like Flynn. Nowdays not so great though, due to a mangled knee. But it's always been a great feeling to walk up to a challenge table in any tough pub and put your coin down, play for beers and take on all comers while the jukebox blasts it out

Hereabouts the rules depend on which region you're in. In some areas of Oz you have to nominate the pocket or forfeit, while others there's simply no penalties at all. My favorite is no penalty off the break or when you're on the black, otherwise a two-shot rule applies

Can't believe that I'm the only one playing 3-cushion. I thought the non-teen members around here would play it too...

I'm not that bad at it at all, My grandfather taught me when i was young to play the workers at his work, But one day i stuck the cue into the table and haven't really played since.

No sir, russian pool with very small pockets and about 20 white balls and one red. It is much more difficult than normal pool.

No, my greatest victory came when I beat the Chief Road Inspector of the Batken Oblast in West Kirgizia, during a heated game in Hodzjant, Tajikistan. It later turned out that he had a table in his garden, and still was unable to overcome my cunning game:D

Henk aka 'The Cunning Old Bird'

I think there aren't many people on this forum who played billiards in these places (not many more who heard of them ;))
