Does anyone know how to make the perfect resume, that can almost guarantee you a job. I already work as a lifeguard but I wanna buy a 240SX along with my other car. So that means a better job. So that means getting the money for the car, and the "special" parts for the car (HKS Turbo, Blitz intercooler, and porgrammed ECU). I want to push this car to it's limit. I'm thinking maybe 300hp. 1/4 in maybe 12.

Anyways...

I need help making this perfect resume, so if anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Plus I need to pay my rent, and right now, I'm just barely getting by.

Thanks,
Steve.

Here's the format that I used... I'm changing the info though.

Your Name
___________________________________
Your address
Phone number & email
___________________________________

Objective
Example: To gain an internship for a management training position with a reputable organization.

Education
University of Miami, Miami, FL
Graduation December, 2008
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
GPA 3.5
Specialization in General Management

Related Course Work:
Introduction to Small Business Management, Human Resource Management, Spreadsheet Design, Business Communication, Quantitative Business Analysis, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, International Business, Managing Organizations

Experience
(Company name), Miami, FL
Jan 2005 - Present
(Name of your position.. EX: Management Team Member)

Administer databases for merchandise at store; manage phone correspondence with participating vendors
Arrange client intakes towards shipping needs and control cash and checks and balances within the register

ETC ETC

Then list any other jobs that you had in the past. State the name, city, dates, position and tasks (just like in the previous one)

Then list your skills with bullets.

Skills

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Excel

ETC ETC

That's pretty much the basic format. The GPA on the right is supposed to be at the same height of the line that says "Bachelor of Science in Business Administration", but for some reason I can't do it... Same goes to graduation date, etc.

Thanx mate. Also, should I stylize it or keep it simple?

Keep it simple, they like it simple and concrete.

Make sure you place at least 3 tasks for every job that you list.

don't ever pad your resume to look good, it makes you look stupid.

in a dutch one :) you should also clearly state our adress and as much contact details. Not to forget your date of birth etcetera.

And most importantly, state references to contact your old bosses.

I would also mention my accomplishments in every position.

Your resume should be plain except if you are applying to graphic design related job or something arty; then anything goes.

only thing i would add to above is what you do in your spare time. only if it gives you employable skills though

Remember, the resume gets you to the interview, but once you're there its all up to you... not even a perfect resume can guarantee a job if you can't converse with a future boss... and it works the other way around, if you charm them they'll take you no matter what =) good luck

Use buzzwords.

They get you everywhere.

"Proactive"
"Prioritising workload"
"Team player"

Wanker words, but they work.

Does anyone know how to make the perfect resume
Listing the qualifications that match the job works best :D

You need to write a CV to the target job.
Give some ideas .........
