The fastest production 0-60 car is currently the Bugatti Veyron, or the Ferrari FXX (Limited production though). They both do it in 2.4 seconds. But the HKS Skyline R34 Drag car does 60 in 1.5 seconds. I suspect it's likely the fastest tuned car, and not custom made car.

Tuned cars do not count, seeing as top-fuel dragsters do the 0-100 in less than a second.

BTW, the "but this is a tuned skyline" excuse won't work, because this isn't meant for road use, while cars like the Veyron can be driven in Los Angeles or the Autobahn.

I have no hating for anyone, I just HATE the skyline, and seeing the "OmG SkYline is LIkeE .5 SeConDs 1/4 MilE!" posts make me post in disregard of the damn car.

If you honestly try to bring in some crazy Ferrari or BMW, I will personally be very mad. This car isn't in a league with these cars. It's against the Supra, Vette, and maybe the 911 Turbo.

Just mentioning the car to any young person as well makes them drool.

i like skylines, but this is way too much. It lost to a WRX in a best motoring drag race by couple hundreths of a second.

so youre telling us the skyline is good because tuned it makes plenty horses, its "perfect for drifting" and "hardcore racing" (whatever that is) and because its awd? um, i fail to see the thing that makes it special. rally homologation cars do that if youre into that kind of thing and have the huge advantage in my opinion that they are actually built for competition. i dont know, i just dont like the skyline and i cant see why anyone would drool hearing its name. then again ive never actually sat on one but i cant take seriously anything thats not RWD.
