My friend in the UK records them and sends them to me. Only one is online right now (the site only opened less than 8 hours ago), but I will eventually have over 25 full episodes on that site and the new ones once they start playing them again in April. :)

@VIPER007BOND WOW thats excelent i will download that top gear one alter on tonight. i prefur the full episodes compared to the bits of episodes. another thing. i just signed up to the fourm and was looking at this section on top gear general, you put a link on there to a vid of 2 porsche carreras gts and the link wouldnt work i was woundering if you know what it is? otherwise a good site.
A friend of mine gave me the link to your site ages ago... was brilliant 'till I lost the link and forgot to ask him again... anyway, thanks for this cool site :)

Oh, by the way, when I release a new torrent, things will be slow until I've uploaded a complete copy as my upload is only 25 KB/sec. So just be patient. ;)

Just finished and now there are other seeds. More people are now seeding. :)
For future reference, would you rather I waited and sent the file to some other people so they could seed as well or do it like I have been?
The speeds would be faster if I sent it to people, but you'd have to wait a few days between torrent releases 'cause it'll take a while to get the files to people.
Would you rather have faster downloads or releases more often?

it never connects......maybe teh server was offline.... :confused:
meh....good idea though, bittorrent can kinda be slow sometimes..... :(

No, it was up this whole time. Are you on a school connection or something? If so, they probably block BitTorrent.

You're most likely firewalled. Try forwarding the port(s) BT uses on your router.

Due to popular demand, I've released the most recent Fifth Gear via HTTP. Yes, no BitTorrent download for this one.
I've done this 'cause I wanna see if the server can handle a ton of people downloading a 150 MB file or not.

For 147Mb file that's pretty good :) Didn't see any fluctuation on D/l speed.

Firstly congratulations due to the very well done work in the viper007bond website....as well as thanks for giving us the chance to download lots of top gear/5th gear videos, and thanks for making us download them as easy as possible.
Once we have the chance to request any video that we havent been able to download already,.....id like to know if its possible to get available to download the 5th gear videos broadcasted in both, the 1st of December 2003, and the 8st of December 2003 as well with no rush

Okay, for well, as you may know, the HTTP server could handle the users downloading the episodes, but the host didn't like the bandwidth that was being used so the account got killed.
We'll see if we can work something out for downloading via HTTP, but meanwhile, I'm releasing the new episodes via BitTorrent.

On a side note, the new season of Top Gear starts tomorrow (Sunday) as well as a new Fifth Gear on Monday. Look forward to those coming next week sometime. VUK (my source) has been pretty busy with school and stuff though, so it's been taking a bit longer than normal. ;)

Top Gear - May 30th, 2004 (the one with the Porsche Carrera GT) has been released. Be warned though, there's only 2 or 3 seeds right now as it's new and with so many people wanting this episode, speeds will probably be around 30 KB/sec for a while. :(
