this thread is just for my drawings that i have done over the last 3 years. You will notice that some of them are just line drawings - this is because i have only just become confident with colour and i still cant shade. Please say whatever you feel about them. Cheers!

The first pic is a '54 300SL Gullwing. I did this about 2 years ago.
The second pic is a Ferrari Dino. I drew it about 2 years ago.
The third is an '03 DB7 Volante. This was done about 3 years ago.
Fourth is a '53 Ferrari 500 A which i drew last year. yep the left rear wheel is wrong (sorry for blurry pic)
None of them are good drawings and the phots i took are wobbly.

Some of these pics are really good dude.

As a side note to other members in the know, what would be the best way to colour these? Using pencils, or go as far as paints? If so, what type etc. Im just interested, as Ive always wanted to make a large car 'picture', but wouldnt have a clue what to do once I had the lines done (its not happening in the near future, thats for sure!!!)

robcooper

i dont really know much about colours im afraid RazaBlade as i have only just bought my first proper set. the ones i have are called Derwent AQUAtone and the others, supracolor. Sorry, thats all the help i can give. I am an amateur.

In the referance picture there are people ain't there. that would be very hard to draw m8. maybe find some car pictures that would fit in. it'll be hard to find a car that fits in the pictures though as the 250 GTO is in a league of its own.

the only difference i can spot (might be blind) is on the photo the GTO in the foreground is taller at the back.
tell me what you think the differences are

i think the one you have drawn looks better with the slightly lower back but i suppose if you want it to look right. anyway you can't really notice it unless you have a look at the referance pic.

cheers for your comment Ali, but i dont think I have the correct technique to teach people, i have an unusual style of shading. Here is a new one that someone asked me to do on anothre forum. It has taken 2.5 hours so far and will be shaded like my other few. The wheels will get done when it comes to shading the drawing. Please tell me what you think, cheers!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the nearest swooping panel that leads up to the headlights has been lowered as it was too high and through the perspective off slighty....

He can post some complete drawings to show his skills of course:)
But you can go back to page one and read through all the six pages...
See all the useless posts you and him made, msn-style..
And since then we have a set of rules written down in the FAQ section, where it's stated that a post without meaning and usefulness is forbidden..
