A great vid of a couple of trucks on a hillclimb circuit.

Note to self -- dont volunteer to marshal for trucks :D

All those who like cubic inches and power then this is pretty much the ultimate :D

Hehe - most awesome thing i've seen in a while. Theres so little margin for error because the tracks are so tight; I like it a lot :)

No. Only the driver is high in a truck. The engines are low.
If you look at the vid you can see the intakes for hte engine below and slightly to the rear of the cab.
RACING trucks get serious money spent on them and THEY have lowered engines to further improve the CoG !!

ive seen the racing before, and even with the engine mounted so low, i just cant help but think they would be fairly unstable

I know.
It's because the brain sees it look so tall. But in reality they're more stable than most race cars due to the long wheelbase and WIDE track.
Weight (lack of) over the rears makes grip in corners a bit of a problem though :D

I think truck racing is very interesting…especially when it goes sideways!!

Without a doubt, you guys in Yurup have the best motorsports on the planet!

In the US of A we used to get to watch truck racing on SpeedVision before it turned into NASCAR  'vision... the France family is a bunch of jive-product selling wankers. They'd rather sell booring roundyround spec "stockers" with WWF personalities driving than something as hard-core as this. Wish we had half of what you get to see available over here...

Not sure.
But there's no way they woudl lower and stiffen the way the race trucks do.
Dakar trucks need HUGE amounts of suspension travel.
