I've collected these from various places along the way.

A gift from me, hopefully one you want to build is here.
Everyone has to build the A110 ( and send me $10 by paypal :) )
and to keep henk4 happy the 2CV too !!

If you have or know of any other sources for car models please let me know.

Has anyone tried to design one from scratch ?
i'm thinking about trying to do the A610 :) or the Bagheera :) :)
You probably guessed that, huh !!

I'll bribe with one rep point the first person to get them all built and a photo of ALL of them posted back up here.

BTW, this is only the first 4.
I'll upload more later.

Kept the "oddballs" for last.

Hope you have fun building them..
Even better use Photoshop/paint to make your own colour schemes and wheels for that custom-look :)

Sadly no.
I built some of these with my kids ( in the hope of them catching the modelling bug :( )
They didn't survive :( - the models, the kids are still with me !!!
If you do a web searhc for "car paper model" you can find enthusiasts who have built these and many more, with pictures.
Better still, build one - it only costs a sheet of paper, some ink and glue !!!

PS: Here's the photo from the Lambo.

hehe i almost ruined my printer by putting a thick peice of card in there :p :p :( anyway, i have built three so far; the GT40, the 911, and the Alpine A110. do you have the template for the lambo? or is it in the PDF?

I've found normal photocopy paper is fine for a fast build.
If you want to keep it, then you need to put it on heavier paper otherwise the wheels fold over time :(
All my printers are HP ( used to work there :) ) and the paper path on them all has a tight turn, so I can't even THINK about really heavy card.
I know some guys stick the printout of key parts ( like the wheels/tyres ) onto mounting board available from art shops.

Yep, the Lambo is in the two pdfs.
You likely need to d/l adobe reader if you don't have it already on your system.
MIME should make it load in your IE window if you click on it.

No, searched the sites I have and it's not on any of them.

looks like your only option would be to pay the 210 yen on that page OR 5800 yen for the guys CD of all the cars. Looks like this oen isn't doing the rounds on the 'free' sites :(

sorry

This thread was the posting of the collectiond I'd built up on my hard drive.
So if it ain't in here I dont' have it.
I've been too busy to be doing the card models for a couple of years, so I've not been getting any new ones :(

SO any you post here woudl be much appreciated by me and lots of other folks on UCP.

EXCELLENT !!!!!!

I've actually built quite a few of these before-it takes patience but they're cool once they're done :)

A normal one takes like 10 minutes, but if you do one where you have to make 3-d wheels it can cross over the hour.

Matra,

So could you tell me where you found the models such as Alfas? I could hardly find them before reaching to this thread.

Esperante,
are you still building models? that must be a good news to me if you say yes!!
I hope you and other buddies can try to build Ferrari 125.

I've collected them over ages and ages :)
Sadly I've lost many of the links I had of good Japanese sites - they LOVE doing these.
I'll check the archives at work to see if an old copy of my favourites is there. I'd had an 'enforced' clean install on my home mahcine a while ago :(
Doing a google on car card model will find you loads and you just have to wade throguh them ( altavista can do japanese -> english transaltion enough to stumble around in the sites )
here is a good 'colelction' site you can peruse ... http://www.freepapertoys.com/pt-cars.html

If you do get any not already posted here, please stick it up for others on UCP to enjoy. That way it saves folks having to go through loads of links and Japanese sites :)

well we ALL know of your 'Datto' , man you made us make the choice for you :)
What I wasn't sure of was the varioius names - especially as the sites are in Japanese. That was the only "old school" Datsun I coudl find.

It seemed easier to post and ask you if 510 was a name yours got referred as.
It did look close enough to the style - eg squarish Jap box :)

OK, so thast one wasn't it. I'm going to have to try to find all my old links for saypopguy so you might get lucky !!

If anyone wants, there are LOADS of newer model Nissans at http://www.nissan.co.jp/EVENT/PAPERCRAFT/lineup.html
If you DO download any of them, repost them back up here so everyone can enjoy them in case the Nissan site goes stale.

Wow at first I tohugh these would look kinda stupid when built............I mean how can you blame me THEY ARE MADE OUT OF PAPER! But I looked on the website that Matra gave showed us and they look surprisingly good. Danm I haen't even heard of these before you told me, I wonder how hard they are to make! Probably require patience which I lack :p:p

Matra et Alpine

Some of them only take 5 minutes with small scissors and paper glue.
Unlike plastic/metal and resin kits you dont' have to paint a single thing :)

The best kits though are easily 30 minutes work !!

What instructions do you need ?
Cut them out, the white bits that look like teeth get glue applied and stuck to the bit next to them !!
It's only paper you are wasting so as few "mistakes" wont' cost you much as you learn.

I've done the F40.
Now I'm doing the gorgeous Lambo.
Thanks, Matra for the Lambo and the link.
I found instructions there. :)

The main thing I don't understand is how do I join the wheels to the body in the 360 Modena.

10-1 and 1-2 are assembled and then stuck on 8 at the area shown. The wheels then stick on those part.
