Ok, so removing DRM isn't strictly legal, but it is possible, i know there are quite a few programs that do it, but i cant remember what they are called (well, jHym and OurTunes spring to mind, but they are for iTunes!) Can anybody help me?

DRM - Digtal Rights Managment - Its placed on nearly all music legally downloaded, it stops you playing the music on too many pc's

ok....... back on topic..
try ripping it to .wav with a program called EAC (Exact Audio Copy) here:http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
and then ripping to mp3 with the LAME encoder plugin for EAC, here: http://lame.jthz.com/
both are free and legal.. not that it matters....
EDIT: 1337TH POST W000000000000000000000000T........... and i didn't even notice :(:o......

If you have Cubase then you can do it.
Are you a musician?

OK, if you import the audio file then you can re-record it to what you want...
- Go to the little speaker in the Start bar, and right click. Go to Properties, then Sound Options (I think, I can verify when I'm back at college), then enable the "What-U-Hear" option in Recording options.
- Go to Cubase, click Record, it should work. If not, then I'll rethink how I did it so many moons ago.
- If it works, use the little triangle at the top of the screen above the tracks, and split it so that you have a blue line running along the top of the workscreen. Then go to File --> Export --> Audio Mixdown --> and select the MP3 options.
Good luck.
