1986 maxima need anwers

i have a 1986 nissam maxima that i just did an engine swap on but its not starting.. because i'm not getting fuel. my ecu is saying that my idler switch isnt working. what i need to know. is the idler switch the same as the throttle position switch. just lost in translation. or is it somewhere else..

What engine did you drop in exactly?

No. the (Throttle position sensor) TPS and the idle air control valve/switch (IAC) are two different are two different things. The IAC valve/switch regulates the idle speed the motor needs (at idle) regarding temperature and etc...

So check out the IAC switch.
