S2000 by a mile.

the S2000 is known to be one of the best cornering Japanese Roadsters on the market, fuel efficient, and sporty looks. Crossfire is just really stylish designs, it doesn't appeal to me at all...

Honda S2000 or a Chrysler Crossfire Roadster?

Well, given that the Crossfire pictured is a Startech modified version available with up to 300 hp (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23707&highlight=crossfire), I'd take that one.

If we're talking about the standard models, then I'm not so sure. I really like the Crossfire's looks, and I am a bit of a fan of Chrysler, but I think I'd have to say of the two I'd rather have the S2000.

350z!!!!

That's not one of the choices...

The Crossfire's just a reworked old M-B SLK. There's nothing special about it at all. S2000 all the way for me.
On a side note the 350Z convertible isn't that great in my opinion. It's a bit heavy as it is and the top adds even weight. It's rear end becomes too big in proportion with the entire car and it isn't as stylish as the fastback coupe. The coupe looks way better.

S2000, looks better and its not american.

The crossfire is just the old SLK in american clothes, and those SLK's aren't nearly as fun or good for sporty driving as the S2000. I don't know if they've changed much for the crossfire, but I never see any articles or hear about it anymore, so to me that alone says its not that great. The honda gets my vote.

This is an apples-and-oranges comparison. The Honda is the more dedicated sports car. The Chrysler is a softer boulevard cruiser.

I would prefer to own a Honda S2000, simply because the Honda S2000 is a much better car than the Chrysler.

Out of those two I prefer the Honda, but I don't really like the Honda's engine, too many revs, not enough cylinders...

u dont like revs ?? ... but ... F1 ... LeMans ... Bikes ... JGTC ...

n when you look at it the I4 is the perfect type of engine for this kind of car
if you put a V anything in itll double the amount of camshafts and when your cylinder has an expensive vtec on it that can push up costs, plus the added weight would mess wif the weight distribution, and an inline 6 is gonna be too long for a car this size

I'm not saying that what I like is best, those motosport categories you mention may have regulation which suit high reving engines, and when anyone enters motosport what they want is to win, and they don't much care if the car (or bike) is nice to drive.

However in everyday driving I prefer something with a wide usable powerband, with good levels of torque all over the rev range. That's why I prefer bigger less complex engines (or supercharged ones). Plus with more cylinders you get more refinement, and in my opinion, inline fours don't really sound special, at least not the ones I've heard, whereas the engines which are not inline fours usually have a characteristic sound. That's why I think that on the mechanical aspect, a Porsche Boxster or a BMW Z4 does the job much better than the S2000.

The S2000 is a fantastic car but don't so easily dismiss the Crossfire SRT6. It has an supercharged AMG-tuned engine with 330 HP. Also, it's assembled in Germany by Karmann, so the quality is there.

Still, for a track car I'd take the S2K but for everyday driving I think the SRT6 is the better car.

Crossfire, especially if it's supercharged. The S2000 needs torque, a glovebox, and "real" gauges.

Now if the Crossfire were the N/A model, it'd be a much closer battle for me.

it's got nuff torque, the ratios are so short

I sat in one and I feel rather encapsulated, the doors are much too high (or the windows too low). The window size is disproportionate to the door size,a design feature that seems to become ever prominent. I always take the first BMW 6-cylinder coupe as an example how a greenhouse should look compared to the metal.
