Stunnin' shame that the Phaeton wasnt a success, then again in a couple of years you will be able to pick a decent one for a couple of thousands.

Great pics :) Strange that they build such a big and expensive factory for only 1 model, not knowing wheter it would be a big seller or (apparently) not.

Granted I haven't seen a lot of production plants; this Phaeton plant is AMAZING! Too bad the car was so badly received, since obviously it's built with all the care of a fine watch.

There is talk of them moving part of the Bentley Continental production there (Nth America and Mid East) where cars are bought off the showroom floor, not custom ordered

Dresden is in the Former east of Germany,IIRC. so the German government is trying to encourage industry within the area to curtail some shocking unemployment figures.

So even if the car doesn't sell well, the fact some people have jobs because of it ain't bad.

and the production lines can always be changed - at an expense of course.
