The military drags out derelict ships all the time for target practice and weapons testing.

Anyway, did anyone else notice how it looked like roadkill with all its red internal organs and blood spewing out after the torpedo hit?

its called a SINKEX.. they do it to test survivability of the ships, and the lethality of our weapons... cool stuff. I havent been a apart of one yet, but then again my ship doesn't have weapons systems capable of that.
