yes, this is on my home computer.
my dad did it because he thinks cars are 'affecting my grades' but school just let out for summer and i've been on it for a week. i still fail to see how cars are affecting my grades... its more of stuff like lazynes that is affecting my grades and i dont know what he's smoking, but i've been getting the same grades the last 2 or 3 years

sucks doesnt it

It would be almost impossible for Norton to scour the whole internet for every automotive website.

There are a few things you can try ...

1) Download another browser with proxy options such as Maxthon and then change it to 'No Proxy' mode.

2) type Maserati.com instead of http://www.maserati.com

3) Theres some proxy websites on the internet that allow you to type the url for the website into their website and then it opens that website using a modified URL, and thus doesn't get found ... I can't remember the name but I'm sure someone here uses em.

You get used to finding ways around filtering software when you enter college :D

I too wonder what your dad is smoking because forums are about much more than just cars. There are off topic sections which he probobly doesn't know about. Since I joined my first forum a few years ago(Fast-Autos.net) I've learned countless things there that ahve helped me at school.

It's a very nice bonus to all the car knowledge that goes into your head.

I'm not sure exactly what your problem with me is, but the only two posts of yours I've noticed have been criticisms of either something I've said, or how I've said something.

I don't know if you have a life outside the computer, but sometimes you start a reply, get up to attend to a real world issue and come back to continue your response, and while you were typing, other people have made responses. It's a simple explanation, no negligence involved.

Talk to your dad about it, without bitching and moaning. Argue certain points in your favor, while agreeing with him about his motives. At least that way, you can try and earn back the priveleges, and if not, you compromise.

If you need debatable points, you have tons of active members here ready to help.

What a inconceivable connection. It is like walking out onto the streets, seeing two automobiles, formulating the conclusion "The only two vehicles I have seen was a compact, or a minivan!", and expecting to be endowed some kind of award for such blatant observations.

If you can not see that my problem is your problem, there is clearly more than one problem that you must deal with. It is understood, now, that you just happened to reply twice in the same day, with a "getting up" session in between, but that does not mean it incapacitates you to see where I was coming from.

I had thought that I was giving constructive criticism to help you, but, clearly, some people are simply too static for such things.

It all started because I can afford an iPod, as can half of the living population, as evidenced by the fact that almost everyone I know and have seen in London/Houston/Dublin/Seattle/Any Other big city I've been to since they came out has had one. And it angered him that I reasoned to myself that to pay twice the price of getting mine fixed and have a working one, now with video was worth it. Did that make sense? :p

Hey! Over 6 months, they could have enough for a 60GB iPod. Where they get the music is up to them. :D And maybe I was talking about the OTHER half of the living pop.? :p

Really though, im not sure if anglo is your 2nd lango, but you need to understand what a hyperbole is.

And I find it hard to believe that over 3,000,000,000 people live on $2USD per day...anything to back that up?

And I find it hard to believe that over 3,000,000,000 people live on $2USD per day...anything to back that up?Just because the other half can subsist on over $2 USD per day does not make them iPod-bound. English is my second language. I also know what a hyperbole is. But you were clearly mistaken, even if they were just implications.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poverty
The World Bank defines extreme poverty as living on less than US$ (PPP) 1 per day, and moderate poverty as less than $2 a day. It has been estimated that in 2001, 1.1 billion people had consumption levels below $1 a day and 2.7 billion lived on less than $2 a day.2.7 billion is around 45%, meaning 50% with "just over" (as I stated) $2 is a fairly well-made estimate.

I, again, question your lack of awareness. This is not difficult to believe, not even by a long shot. Millions of people die from poverty every year. The facts are there. It is somewhat frustrating for me to understand your reckless disregard of what seems sensible to most others.

Millions of people die from poverty every year.
NO ONE dies from poverty. Ever. Fact. People die from complications caused by poverty, starvation, dirty water, inadequite health care, etc.

I knew what poverty was though, thanks.

But you were clearly mistaken, even if they were just implications.

You can anally argue that bullets do not kill people, it is complications caused the IMPACT of a bullet to a human skull that kills people. Blatantly obvious...
