I've been desperate for a good horror game lately and I couldn't find any good ones on multiple game sites. Any recommendations(at least as scary as Condemned, F.E.A.R., or Doom 3)? :D

Seconded. It's actually better in its original Gamecube version, so try and pick yourself up a cheap GC off ebay and get a hold of the game, you'd probably get one for not much more than the cost of a new game anyways. It's without doubt one of the best console games of the last 5 years.

Resident Evil 4's coming to PC so no worries, I doubt it would be close to Condemned. :p
Prey is very similar and even less scary than Doom 3. The team sure did a good job in pushing those awesome graphics outta the Doom3 engine, but it is a more impressive FPS than a scarier horror game. :(
Half-Life 2..........are you serious? That chapter pissed me off more than it scared me, hate when those crabs jump on me, so I took out the crowbar and smacked through the chapter. :D

Resident Evil 4 scared the shit out of me when I played it.

I don't really play horror games much, but I have played Doom3 and it did make me cry. Well, not actually cry, maybe just wimper a bit and switch it off.
For some reason i always end up playing horror game late at night. Probably not the best time to do it.
How can Prey be scary??
Its not out yet.

Prey can be very confusing and is a totally new way of playing, and if you've seen the monsters that are included, on the same level of doom 3.

F.E.A.R. isn't too much of a horror game, it's more like an intensive FPS with a few horror scenes. Condemned makes a much scarier horror game although it's based on the F.E.A.R. engine. But at least F.E.A.R. is scarier than Resident Evil series. :D
And anyway I do have to agree with Silent Hill, I'll get it if the 5th one ever comes out. :)

I will NEVER forget playing Resident Evil 2 every other night with my cousin at 2 a.m., with the lights off. It's scary, but god damn it's intriguing.
These new 'Yo, this ish will scare da crap outta u" games may be scary, but just don't have that old-school horror feel to them. Same as in the movie theatres, all of the best horror films are of 10-40 years ago.

Condemened is the scarieste one i've played, i'm playing F.E.A.R. now and it's more intense but less scary, the only other game i remember being a bit scary was Clive Barker's Undiyng.

Yes, Resident Evil is pretty scary stuff.
Recommended.
I've never had it for Game Cube, so I wouldn't know. But I find the GC controller so counterintuitive. Hate the GC.
I own a Wii though. No complaints yet.
Wait till Resident Evil 5 comes out.

Go with the Silent Hill series. Nice and freaky.
I thought it was rather creepy and every few seconds some random thing(s) jumps out of you from nowhere.

I found it had good atmosphere and gave a creepy feeling but never found it scary. I engaged the rational part of my brain which meant I had a feeling of where monsters would be. This came from playing Doom 1 and 2 before starting 3.

BTW, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is out for the Wii.
Just as scary as the other Resident Evil games because it is just like Time Crisis (rail gun shooter) and you have no control of where you go or what general direction you are facing. Couple that to a dearth of ammo and you have a scary game.
