I have read the entire battle report written by the only survivor(a messenger) in ancient greek last year. It wasnt too much special for them, the spartan military honor made them stay there. They were helped by some really big military mistakes by the "barbarians". The Greek word for persians is the same as that for barbarians, namely barbaros :D

I have read the entire battle report written by the only survivor(a messenger) in ancient greek last year.I don't think there were survivors.
It wasnt too much special for them, the spartan military honor made them stay there. Are you kidding me? Not to special? This was the first time that the outside world saw Spartans cry! I don't think it was very special either.
They were helped by some really big military mistakes by the "barbarians".At any rate, they still had to stand up to 100,000+ Persians and finished off around 20,000 of them.
i read the story in second gradeIt isn't just a story eh? It really happened.

I learned about it in World History. A great story of honorable soldiers.
