This is a VAZ 21109, built about 1990.
It's the Sedan version of the Lada Samara, of Russian origin.

If I'm not mistaken; this a Lada, built around the mid to late eighties. Try googling for pictures labeled "Lada" and you may find out more.

Ladas are better than their reputation, they are quite strong and can actually be repaired when necessary. A repair course is a mandatory part of obtaining a Russian drivers license (unless you pay directly of course). I got my drivers license in 1967, with the Fiat 124 (the 1966 car of the year) as the training vehicle. This design went on as the Lada and became one of the best selling cars in history.

It seems to me that this car is VAZ-21099. Or it may be a restyled version of VAZ-21099 which is called VAZ-2115.
