Say what you will about them, but a TVR wouldn't do that. It might not start from time to time but at least it won't burst in to flames. Serves them right for buying a new Ferrari.

Erm, yes, a TVR would certainly do that; i.e. burn.

Since we don't know why this car caught fire, the same cause could easily apply to a TVR; e.g., driver dropped a lit cigarette, passenger playing with matches, some kid threw a molotov cocktail at the car, some git was wandering about with a huge magnifying glass, etc., etc.

Well no shit. It is a 1600M. The worst car ever produced in blackpool. Shall I revise my statement and say that most TVRs wont do that. They will have mechanical problem, but tend not to burst into flame.

True, any fan of TVR knows that. It is half the fun-who wants a car that can't kill you in at least 20 different and strange ways.

Don't have to worry about getting killed in a TVR, the door handle will break and you cant get in.

Except that it's more stuff to break down and go wrong. Can't say I've ever broken the door handle or mechanism on any car (except an 80's Falcon, but they're all like that)

Seems like there are plenty of brand new Ferraris spontaneoulsy combusting. Strictly speaking of 2006 models Ferrari has a higher combustion rate than TVR.

Stop posting this rubbish, please.

All of these nonsense comments are putting me off TVR, so I hate to think what everyone else will make of them, not to mention what people will be thinking of you.

Dude you seem to forget that there have been many, many more Ferraris produced. The percentage will prolly be about the same for both cars...

Why would I care what you think of me. It's the internet, I could not care less about your opinion of me.
